The fun part about E3 Sunday

Is that Microsoft does their thing in the mid afternoon and I am trying to blog that(and as they dropped goo gobs of games it ain easy this year) and then of course I have to get ready for Bethesda. For the quick and dirty, Microsoft dropped the name of Project Scorpio Xbox One X, the release date 11/7/17 and the price 499.99. Yeah Microsoft got on it, they also dropped 42 games 20+ that were Xbox exclusives and many with Xbox One X enhancement.

So when I tell you I am hauling booty to try and put all the trailers some mini descriptions as well as some of my thoughts on all this graphical goodness I am. The problem is, I have laundry to do and Bethesda starts in about 20 minutes. And if you watched Bethesda's show last year you already know that when Microsoft goes ham, so do they. Like this is an all hands on deck situation, EA had to be nice on Saturday they couldn't spill any beans, but Bethesda is the school gossip who was just on the toilet when the head cheerleader admitted to how she passed her last class. It's about to go down.

So I hope everyone had a good weekend and I am typing as fast as I can, of course you can find all this over on Wonderful World

Hey Folks, Sorry for the delay

The weather has been crazy, stuff in the midsouth has been running rampant and I owe you a few blogs, I just posted the trailer blog for guardians vol 2, At some point in time today I will do the trailer blog for Wonder Woman, and after that I will work on the reviews for both movies, I know I need to get on it it was just a lot of work the last few weeks and we have all been really drained.

I'm back now, and no I wasn't going to do a cop out and not finish the trailer blog(even though I have been gone over a month but hey E3 is coming, which of course will be blogged over on Wordpress just in case I want to curse a few times) and just leave it as a throwback post, which I don't have as many old unfinished posts as I used too. which is good. Anyway I need to do a few blogs about new games I am playing, Need to do the reviews for those, talk about books I'm reading (American Gods, the show is good the book is better so far), as well as maybe a few Season Finales of some of my current favorite TV shows.

Anyway as I have dropped one hopefully I have a few more in me before I fall into another slump, hope you've been well, thanks for stopping by, oh and hey Leave a comment here and there, take a poll, have some fun, I know I will.

The trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2(delayed)

Yes, it is Friday. In case you are wondering we saw GotG V2 on opening weekend, I just was out of it this week. So yes, the trailer post is late, the movie review is late it's just a whole round mess. We are gonna get through this though.

Over there at the Malco Paradiso we got 5 trailers with Guardians, 3 sequels, on Tie in movie, and a period piece. The period piece looks crazy and depending on what else comes out around it I may or may not go see it but the other 4 are all on my list for 2017. Enough stalling, here are the five movies let me know what you are interested in.

Heavy Work month, Slow on the movies

I know I have been absent so far this April but work has been hell. Lots of driving, lots of crazy electronic mishaps, but haven't really gone to the movies. There really wasn't a "Gotta see it" I thought about going to "Ghost in the Shell" but the more I heard about the movie the less it appealed to me. From what I can tell GitS is apparently the most unselfaware but best example of exactly what every one is complaining about movie out there. It's basically White Washing, the movie. Scar Jo, plays the title character, has many of the scenes from the original Animated Movie that started the craze, when then sparked an animated tv show.

I'll probably watch it when it hits the streaming services. Then of course as my brother volunteered to go on the long distance trip this month we've got the munchkin for the weekend. And let me tell you this: Always buy a MOUNT for a TV Larger than the one you are trying to install. I mean I'm gonna spin the whole tale of Friday Nights hilarity, just not here, but when I tell you that if you ain got access to a young child's favorite digital distraction in this generation AIN NOBODY getting to sleep. Man that boy ran us all ragged, it was my fault I believed the box (NEVER BELIEVE THE BOX), the box LIED to ME. Smh and that boy refused to go to sleep in a quiet room. He had a tablet, his Lightning McQueen bubble shooter, a little Led wall light that we gave him as a night light and his own Dory Themed bed set. If I didn't know better I would swear his father gave him 24 hour delay no Doz he had so much energy. His bad butt Friday night seemed like vengeance for all the times I SUPPOSEDLY took him out to hang out with his uncle and POSSIBLY plied him with sugar. There is also an accusation of him drinking my coffee one time(never happened to MY knowledge, I think Eikichi just made that up to make me seem like a horrible older brother.

Yes I buy the munchkin Starbucks, BUT he gets the cookies(loves the snowmen, HATES the Brownies), is okay with the cake pops, and is agreeable to their Hot chocolate. What, I'm his uncle he hangs out with me from time to time. Anyway, HOPEFULLY lazy Sunday ahead.

Happy Friday all

The Power Rangers review just dropped. It is a stuffy day, with heavy sneezing, and light tearing(my folks with allergies will understand) it's mildly sunny and cool actually. I will TRY and get into what I was talking about yesterday afternoon with my post about anime and the slight westernization of the characters, I may have to head to Barnes and Noble first to do a little bit of research into how characters are drawn in Mangas, because I am not much of a manga reader. I understand HOW to read Manga, at the moment I just don't want to read that way fucks with my immersion I am not saying anything against Manga readers Eikichi loves Manga, I am just not with that "wave" at the moment.

But yes as an Anime fan and a fan of Super Hero movies it is an exciting time, it is also time to take a good look at our favorite characters/stories/franchises/media and critique them honestly when they tell bad stories, make bad casting decisions, make obvious cash grab movies, or possibly tell less than fulfilling stories with our favorite formerly counter and now popular culture icons.

You must protect the Zeo Crystal

Earth the Paleozoic era, a great battle has ensued because the Power Rangers have been betrayed by one of their own:The Green Ranger. Rita Repulsa has attacked her fellow rangers in an effort to capture the Zeo crystal of Earth and increase her powers, Zordon and his fellow rangers had attempted to stop her, but she was much too strong for them. In an effort to save the planet and the crystal Zordon grabs his fellow Rangers power coins, buries them, and has the dutiful Alpha 5 call down a meteor. This Meteor Knocks Rita into the proto ocean and obliterates all signs of the mighty battle that was fought.

Which brings us to a few weeks ago in Angel Grove, Jason the star Qb, Captain of the football team, and everybody's favorite guy is about to blow it all, for about 15 minutes of fun. That ladies and gentleman brings us to today's detention, Jason is dropped off by his dad, wearing and Ankle Bracelet and a knee brace as he is doing he is stuck paying for his crimes. On his way down to detention he passes Kimberly, a cheerleader and a cutie. When he gets downstairs he sees Billy a young autistic boy being picked on, he doesn't know Billy, really doesn't care he just doesn't truck with bullies. After backing down the young wanna be tough, he sits down not to far from Billy. Kimberly gets a text messages and asks to be excused to the bathroom, there she finds some of her cheerleader pals, who in what can only be described as a poor attempt at a mean girls impression tell her they are done with her and basically taunt her hoping she ends her life. She stairs at the scissors handed to her longingly and then makes a DRASTIC change to her appearance(well, only drastic because everybody saw her walk in with a different hair style). The three teens have nothing in common but detention, but as only fate could have it that was until this very Dark and Starry night

Dear Readers

Hey, this week has been a bear. Finishing up a large site at my day job so the Power Rangers review is coming. It's just gonna be a couple of days late, it was basically get home, fire up my laptop type a few sentences and crash, yes even the night owl is human. For those who want a quick synopsis: Go see it. It's a fun movie, it takes great care to balance the weight of the responsibility with the fun of first finding out you have super powers.

Yes there is teenage angst, yes THIS is the Power Rangers team Zordon ORIGINALLY asked for in the show. They aren't you perfect paragons, they are basically the breakfast club with super powers(yes that will be in the review). Some people had a problem with the Megazord (Eikichi, BUT I will back my youngest brother on this it's not exactly the classic) but the team was fun and the actors did an awesome job.

Next up SHOULD be Ghost in the Shell, I don't know if Smooth will be there, he kind of flaked on us last weekend(work related though) but we are all anime fans and Westernizing anime characters aside it will hopefully be a fun romp. And I may get into that in a later blog, because it does beg for a certain amount of discussion because if you have ever WATCHED an anime, characters tend to be Racially Ambiguous or else have features not regularly seen in Asians(Blond Hair, Blue eyes, Orange hair, Red Hair) but again that will be discussed later.

The Trailers for Power Rangers(2017)

Yes, yes we went to go see the Power Rangers no it wasn't as fluffy as the after school TV show, we did enjoy it but of course the review comes later. This is the up and coming movies for the rest of the year, there were some animated numbers, we had a fantasy offering, a "kids/coming of age movie" but enough of the Jibba Jabba here are your trailers

I'm not that guy anymore

James Howlett has had a hard life, it is obvious he is old but in his waning years all he wants to do is drive his limo and collect his pay. Unfortunately his nap is cut short by a few young hoodlums trying to steal his tires. He stumbles out of his car, and tries to ask the men to leave the car alone that they are just going to strip the chrome lugs somebody pulls out a shotgun and shoots the goofy looking old man.

Now NORMALLY that would be all she wrote, but surprisingly the old man stumbles to his feet and asks the young men to stop again. Well if we can't shoot him, let's beat him up. And that, my dear friends, is where they messed up because that shaggy bearded, weird haircut having old man used to go by ANOTHER name there are a pair of dog tags sitting somewhere that say Wolverine. And while the song warns you about tugging on Superman's cape it should also have a verse about pissing off the canuckle head. While baseball bats are weirdly clanging off of his flesh and bones a visceral growl can be heard and out of nowhere a slow sickening *schlikt* can be heard. Adamantium claws are loosed from their sheaths and men are sliced into like butter. One looses a leg, another an arm, and the survivors run from the crazed beast who appeared out of some beaten down old bum.

James then gets into his cab and drives to pick up his riders for the evening, some old Gambler, Some young men partying out on the town, a bachelorette party, and in the morning a funeral. While he stands away from the mourners a woman runs up and calls him by that OTHER name, Wolverine. He doesn't know her and goes back to his latest fare, telling the patron "I don't know who that crazy lady is, she confused me for someone else." Later on, while sitting in front of a hospital a strange blonde headed man hops into his car to ask him some interesting questions and calls him by yet another name:

The Trailers for Logan

Yesterday was an early day for the movies, as the previous post states Eikichi had a baby sitter for Saturday, Smooth was trying to fill EVERY second of the day with "structure" and I was just trying to see a movie dog. It was almost a complete disaster, Smooth was late and Eikichi was grouchy but we got the movie in the review for which is now due Tuesday(two days, even for a Comic Book movie). It was a relatively packed theater, the lack of an after credit scene may not generate the need for constant rewatches like Avengers or even Deadpool did. That ain what we here for right now though.

So here they are your 4 and a half(I'll explain at the end) trailers/coming attractions I often wonder if they are the same for everyone or if it's just random but it all begins with those fateful guitar licks

Saturday, March 4, 2017

It's movie day Bub

Yes you read that right, movie DAY. Eikichi obviously has a hot date tomorrow so he asked that we go to the movies today, and Smooth is trying to jam everything into his Saturday possible.  So we are headed to go see Logan for the 4:30 show, like literally the second this posts I am headed out the door to get Eikichi. In the age old parental tradition of dumping your child off on the grands so you could get a moments piece the Moose(my nephew) is out with his grammy most likely terrorizing both his grandmother and aunt. He is a ball of energy, and that is probably an understatement.

Anyway I'll probably do an in/at the theater post if not you know movie trailers will be up tomorrow and the movie review SHOULD be up Tuesday. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend

Throwback Thursday(Non Traditional)

Since I have actually been writing quite a bit lately I don't have as many posts sitting in draft here or on Wordpress as I used to. So I decided to grab an old post from here for there and I guess I can grab one from there for here. I just gotta decide which one. The issue is of course THE CURSING, oh I let loose over there, it's my vent blog or should I say my FULL VENT blog I vent over here I just don't let it all loose like I do over there. So anyway since this blog tends to be PG-13 I will endeavor to:

  1. Warn you if the Content is above PG-13
  2. Make sure that I keep the Clip of the title I choose PG-13
  3. Pick a post that is hopefully worthy of the trip to vulgar land
  4. Give you a non vulgar synopsis over here
I have chosen the post, in my current state of employ we used to do a lot more work on computers and laptops. I am pretty sure this experience is similar for anyone who works on peoples personal devices and is most likely everyone's worst fear to find(to quote NPH) someone else's love juices on the device they ask you to repair. Oh yes, it's true I can't remember who gave me this piece of defiled electronics but I know for a full 6 months I was just like ugh. I ain even want to shake their hand no more, cause I don't care what you say you could have at least wiped off the screen.

  • The following Link is to a post that has content of a Mature variety
  • Image(s) on said post may be offensive in nature
  • Language in said post will be offensive in nature
  • Mind bleach may be required after reading

An Apology is owed

If you have come by my blog the last few days you may have seen an odd, out of place ad. It used to be my "Social Media Bar" where you could share things to reddit, google+, facebook, and a bunch of other sites well now it was a bunch of Porn ads. Livejasmin, some kind of cute blondes ad, date hot chicks ad or something. Every once in a while in this blogging game the widgets or apps you use either expire, go old, or just get hacked. I had one expire(that was my Shelfari app) and the social media widget up there was either expired or hacked. So what did I do, I just got rid of them it appears that BOTH of those apps have been turned into redirects.

Redirects to where: one seemed to constantly send you to porn. Which I have no problem with porn, but if it is a porn redirect there is probably a virus attached. Again, I have no issue with porn but if you weren't actually searching for porn and got sent there unexpectedly you would be pretty upset right? Yeah me too, and as I try to keep THIS blog PG-13 for somebody to redirect folks to porn apps from here kind of slaps the rules in the face. Plus you are in essence STEALING TRAFFIC. It would be one thing if people clicked on the add to get to the porn, but since it was an automatic redirect that ended up hiding in a widget that I innocently left up because it still appeared to work you weren't giving folks a choice. And no I don't get any credit for those redirects hell they count as bounces IE people leaving my site because they don't like what they see. So if I am looking at the numbers for the night I might think you didn't like my layout, or you weren't interested in the articles this month when really somebody was stealing traffic most likely to get themselves ad money.

The New Blogging Process

Okay, so now that I have had 2 posts come up(the second of course took a lot of POST publishing code work) with pagination I guess from now on I type out a blog, use the draft of said blog to copy and paste between the content spots, and then post the content the next day(or that evening/afternoon if I type it up fast enough). It should make for some interesting blogs going forward now that I can be wordy but not have to worry about having a huge word wall. As previously stated I don't know if it will be a so many paragraphs per page thing, so many paragraphs plus media thing, or a how dense a paragraph a thing before I decide to break it out into extra pages. But I am going to keep working at it until it becomes second nature and the more comfortable I become the more I will go off on even wilder tangents. It's going to be fun recounting more stories of my past as well as creating short stories that I don't have to figure out where I am going to break it up to make the second post at first, I can just kick back and say "page X" which of course has been one of my biggest hang ups.

And as mentioned I may go back and edit some OLDER blogs to add the Html to them at least 2 pages worth. I don't think my reviews will be too far over a page an a half maybe two but my opinions on things(or X I want to see made) those will be a little wordier from now on and better formatted. I'm sure you have noticed some changes with the pages, some of the wording and spacing. Yeah that is on purpose, I often check back to see if the blog is user and vision friendly. And that really is my contact information so if you have a complaint you can hit me up there. You can also comment anonymously, I haven't had an issue with people bugging out yet so that option is CURRENTLY still open. If it gets abused though yes I will cut it off.

Happy Thursday to all, I hope you had a good one and if not I hope it ends in a great nights sleep and an opportunity to kicks life's butt tomorrow

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

okay, it took a minute but I got the first attempt of a paginated marked up post fixed

I don't know where I screwed up, I don't know where I missed a piece of code. For whatever reason, you ONLY went to the first page of the post about the coffee when you clicked on the NEXT or number links. I haven't checked the number links at the button(nor have I figured out how to make them line up next to each other but meh it works lets just leave it that way) but finally if you hit the next button you go to page two, and then page three. I mean it's now 8 pm and I posted that bad boy at 10 am. Granted until I looked at the post I didn't realize that there was anything wrong. I wanted to see what would happen if I removed a page(because if I can remove a page, I can add a page) so looks like I am going to have to take my time and go through and thoroughly check a post which is a little more difficult without the option to "preview" said post.

Yes I am going to have to keep working at it, but that is now two posts paginated. We might have a pattern here, I can be wordy and talkative but now you don't have to see a giant wall of text. Huzzah we have walked through a whole new door

They were on sale

A few months ago, through a client we acquired a Keurig single cup coffee brewer. Yes, yes I know bougie as all get out but it was free, mainly because the little holder for the K cups was missing (someone probably threw it out by mistake) and the person had just went ahead and bought a whole new unit instead of waiting around for that small little piece. SO we got a come up, "Go team Venture" we of course ONLY having to buy that little piece didn't have that much outline (it was like under 10 bucks) and as we are all coffee drinkers have been enjoying various K cup coffees(or making bleh faces, cause not all are winners) ever since. Now yes, I know if you have known me for any amount of time you will now that I USED to say "I HATE COFFEE," Hot Chocolate, sure. Tea, definitely wanna add a color to it:Black, green, white, red well lets gone ahead and party. But coffee nah, not over here pahtnah.

Then the Ex Spouse started working at a satellite of a big chain coffee shop inside a nice sized chain big box establishment, granted she wasn't the ex at the time so of course I tried to find something said chain sold, which I did find. A mocha latte with a few shots, a couple of pumps here and there and viola, a daily morning favorite is born. Of course just because I have a favorite doesn't mean I can always get to it. I for all intents and purposes work out of my car/vehicle, Always moving around but not always moving towards my morning caffeine. Which can leave my less than cheery morning demeanor to be down right ogreish(and anyone who impugns my character to say I am always ogreish can get stuffed), which is why the K cups can come in handy. Now I have found a few that I like:

  1. Hot Apple Cider
  2. Chai Latte
  3. Caramel Latte
  4. Caramel Cappucino
  5. Hot chocolate

Public retry of the first Pagination code attempt

It appears that I goofed, not kinda goofed completely goofed. It seems that if you want to correctly paginate using the code I had typed in before you had to first complete the post, then copy the post on top of the code and then after all that greatness was done, publish don't preview(which I hate, I would like to have a decent Idea of what it is I am working on and how it looks). The thing is, if I am trying some code out for the first time I would like to preview what the hell it looks like BEFORE I go ahead and use it. I will post links to the pages I found the information on later.

I said I goofed, what did I mean? Well it seems that if you PREVIEW the post it changes the code at the bottom to whatever the code for the preview page is(which sucks) of course that made me think the code didn't work(which technically isn't the codes fault it is mine) so of course I looked on to other code and then discovered my mistake, so what did I do? I reposted the ORIGINAL code and then published it, saw that it MOSTLY worked, took it back to draft no harm no foul right, yup. Which means now I need to retry that FIRST attempt again now that I realized the failure was all user error not code error.

In this life, there are 2 rules that must not be broken

Rule #1 Every Marker must be honored

Rule #2 No blood will be shed on Continental Grounds

John Wick, the Baba Yaga the Boogie Man. When we first met John Wick he was a simple man. He had recently lost his wife, and in an attempt to help John recover his deceased spouse, Helen, had him sent a dog. A small, cute, and playful puppy. It was not easy, but John came to love that puppy for it was a connection to the women he loved, until one fateful day when he went to the store and met a young Iosef Tarasov. Iosef liked John's classic 1969 Mustang Mach 1 coup. Iosef is the spoiled son of a Russian Mob boss, he does not hear no often so he asked John how much for the car of which he was told "No Deal"

Iosef should have accepted that answer, because the night he broke into John's house, knocked him out, stole his car and killed his dog would have deep repercussions. It would also cost Iosef his life, many of his father's henchman their lives, and his very father's life. All because he stole the car of a man with a dog, or should I say the Devil. Because the car he stole belonged to the retired underworld hitman John Wick, a nightmare feared by all EVEN Viggo Tarasov. Before Viggo meets his untimely end, John checks into a hotel in New York called the Continental, an apparent Howard Johnson's for the criminal elite. They give him a car, a 2011 Black Charger LD we will get back to this car Later

Helen is dead

Iosef is dead

the puppy is dead

Viggo is dead

So where is John's car?

The trailers for John Wick Chapter 2

Today is Eikichi's birthday so we had an early movie day. We went to see John Wick(and if you have Amazon video the first one is on sale for 5 bucks), I was a little late again(traffic and watching Legion, I apologize) so I didn't catch all the trailers and Smooth being who he is refused to tell me what he saw(cause taller siblings act like that). So for this Sunday February 12th of 2017 these are the trailers I got at my theater.

THROWBACK THURSDAY-My theory on job creation(6/2/10)

This is what I think would help I keep talking about it I have posted it in various peices around the net but never in one full front to back easily reference able part. Why post it here, simply put the rules on this blog pretty much force me to remain serious as well as use more responsible language(IE not cursing)

The PrimalData American Manufacturing revitalization plan:

Any "American" corporation with less then 95% of their total labor force in the united states of america is stripped of any and all tax considerations given to "American" businesses. If the corporation imports products into the united states of America from a foreign port to sell in the united states they are subject to normal duties and taxes as well as a 25% penalty on those products.

reason:them building these items in a foreign country is costing american citizens jobs in hopes off padding their pockets and thus profits. So if you are going to negatively affect the citizens here you are going to pay for it.

〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷〷

meh, I may redo this one day. I think I started this on a slow day while watching MSNBC or something. And yes I have often talked about this with various people who:
  • Probably haven't had a job in a while
  • Don't understand HOW our tax and tariff system works
  • Really don't care about creating jobs, they just want to be contrarian
  • Haven't researched ANYTHING that they are saying, if it sounds good SCREAM IT
I don't mind a good debate, the problem is half the time on the internet you can't find one. The people who "pretend" to take the other side aren't actually taking a side, they are just trying to start some kind of conflict. Lots of name calling, some cursing, some complaining to an imaginary ref, a lot of conspiracy theories they try to pass off as fact or research, and a general lack of understanding of anything other than what they WANT to be true. It used to be more fun but they are so easily manipulated that you kind of realize it isn't so much skill on your part as it is incompetence on theirs

A fathers love and dedication will save the world

Alicia Marcus - an innocent little girl who develops a rare yet fatal disease: Progeria. She will not live a full life by the time she reaches the age of 25 she will look 70, her father James Marcus works diligently on a cure for her disease. But also in preparation for the worst begins recording her face, her voice and every waking moment to hold on to the memory of his beloved child. Just when he thought all was lost he discovered a cure the T-virus, it regenerates cells and at first appears to cure his daughter. Due to the discovery he begins the Umbrella Corporation with his friend Alexander Isaacs hoping to cure all disease. Unfortunately the T-virus had side effects, and they were deadly.

The Red Queen - the digital versions of Alicia Marcus created by Doctor Alexander Isaacs, she is the computer that runs all of umbrella corp her job is to protect humanity from T-virus outbreaks, as well as the staff of the umbrella corporation. She may look like an innocent little girl but she is ruthless, cold, and calculating. Her young angelic voice can often be heard saying "You're all gonna die down here" partially because she is stating an undeniable fact the T-virus outbreak is over running the world, and the other reason is because she is most likely releasing t-virus creatures to come and kill you.

Alice- She has been there since the first known widespread T-virus outbreak, due to her exposure in the initial outbreak her memories of her past have been destroyed. From the first she has been killing zombies for a long time 10 years, she has lost loved ones, friends, and seen many people die. She has been experimented on, cloned, given special powers by her exposure to the T virus, had them removed, had them given back but she is tired. All she does is kill T-virus infected zombies. When last we saw her she was in Washington DC involved in a last stand for humanity.

3 women all connected by the T-virus, one the reason for it's creation, the other it's tireless observer, and the last a warrior fighting against inevitability. The T-virus was spread by the speed of the modern world:Trains, planes, and cars if you are infected with the T virus, especially the early strains you are most likely going to die and when you do you will become a zombie, flesh craving, undead trudging on to kill the remaining members of humanity who's rolls you just left. The Umbrella corporation created a

Dear Cold Miser

Are you okay? Is your older brother currently abusing you or does he have you tied up in the basement? It is February and yet save for one especially frigid day it's been mostly mid 50's or 60's. Even days that are FORECASTED to be cold turn out to be like 50+ by mid afternoon. Now this is not to pretend we are best friends, no I hate your frigid behind but we all have a job to do and you ain on yours pimpin so I am curious as to whether we need to send out a search party.

I understand that you and your brother often fight about weather conditions down here in the south, and that yall make deals every once in a while but come on now this is ridiculous. We got maybe one light dusting of snow in the last 4 months. If we have a hot winter I don't even want to imagine what the summer is gonna be like thus "GET ON YOUR JOB." I understand that the coolest President ever is on vacation, and maybe you miss his smooth demeanor, sharp wit, and jovial sense of humor, WE DON'T CARE. Maybe you miss Crazy Uncle Joe, with his twin pair of aviators, grandpa smile, and venomous vocabulary, again WE DON'T CARE.

We miss them too, but we have all had to get up and go to work all damn year, so do you. Now you aren't allowed to go "Welp, I kind of lost a bet and I am spending all my time making hell freeze over" no you ain, we know you just don't want to touch Lord Dampnut's anus mouth, and we don't care get to work. Cool things off for a little while so that Heat Miser ain sitting his whole Ball Sack on us from April til whenever you decide to bring your dusty behind back to work. Suck it up cup cake, if we are all in this together than YOU have to show up to. Hell next time he wants to hold an outdoor press conference drop like 15 inches on him, we will make jokes.

And don't give me that vacation crap, you get 6 months and Heatie gets 6 months I'm surprised he ain knocking on your door talking about lazy bones.

Anyway enough of my joking around, I'm just curious as to why things are so hot. Like I have done my normal winter grow out so my head doesn't get cold, I have broken out the load pants and sweat shirts, and half the time I don't need them. Where They Do That At? It's Warm, in February?  I'm wearing short sleeves like it ain nothing, I am actually thinking of breaking out the actual short pants something ain right. Granted I say this and watch it drop like 6 inches on us this weekend lol

Superbowl 51 movie trailers

Since I personally feel I shorted you by not giving you all the trailers for Resident Evil the final chapter(plus the trailers I did have save one I have already discussed) I have decided to look up all the Superbowl movie trailers and talk about them. I don't know what I am going to find, I don't know if they were all awesome but I do know there seems to have been a lot of them.

Yes this will follow my normal format of "Title of the movie linked to the trailer, followed by a short bit of personal commentary" so, you ready? Let's get this popping:

Transformers: The Last Knight

I don't know what it is with Micheal Bay and killing off everybody's favorite Transformers but it seems like he is at it again, and this time it looks like the world's favorite VW bug turned Camaro is in his sights. We may finally get the answer to why Transformers keep coming to planet Earth, unfortunately it seems our favorite human saving Autobot has decided he ain for us fleshlings no more. That's right ladies and gentleman Optimus Prime appears to be in league with the Big Bad this movie, that is if he ISN'T the actual big bad. Something is talking to him about redemption so I think he is being mind controlled doesn't matter though if he is roasting his fellow autobots on a spit. Optimus you better than this Bro, I know Micheal Bay is telling you that you have to do it but nah dog don't go out like this.

The Trailers for Resident Evil The final chapter

Due to a series of extremely unfortunate but hilarious events I got to the movie theater later than expected. No seriously it was like something out of a cartoon

  • I couldn't find the car keys
  • I had to give the dog water
  • I get to the gas station because I was on E, I got the slowest teller ever
  • I get behind a car and even though no one is in front of him 10 miles under the speed limit
  • Did I mention he finally sped up when I went to pass him
  • I go to park and somebody can't decide if they want to leave or stay
BUT I got there, I made it in time to see a few of the trailers before the movie(probably would have seen them all if I sacrificed my blue and red but traditions must be upheld) and here I am to tell you what I saw and what I thought about them. So without further adieu I made it in time to catch 3 trailers and they were as follows

Here we go Again

It's another movie night, I am about to head to the theater to watch HOPEFULLY Resident Evil, the final chapter. Resident Evil is a special little conundrum it is based on a video game(mostly) and yet the type of video game it is based on is based on Zombie survival horror which is of course a type of movie. I have often said one of the reasons that RE hasn't been as lackluster as other video game movies is because Zombie Horror is something people know how to do, yes you have to add in crazy looking enemies, mutated dogs, and weird horse/bull looking things but it's still the undead chasing living people around who just want to make it to another day. They have used various characters from the game Ada Wong, Chris Redman, the Nemesis, Wesker, and of course Alice. It plays well because you get to see your favorite characters damn near die or die (depending on who you liked in the movie) but at least go out in a blaze of glory.

They have waded their way through 5 movies(not unlike Underworld) and have decided to let their crew go out in a blaze of glory in one final mega battle. This doesn't mean they can't do another Resident Evil movie later, but they retired Alice around 5 in the games I think, had Chris in more of them as well as showed random other characters. So while you may lose your T-virus power Super Zombie killer you can still have folks who are pretty good at fighting off Zombies and getting to the end versus whoever the Big Boss is.

Dear Lord Dampnut

Supposedly an anagram for Potus 45's first and last name(Donald Trump) is Lord Dampnut. Similar to Tom Marvelo Riddle's I am Lord Voldemort, so I am starting to think since the pres baby is such a stickler for his image and his popularity(which is currently in the tank) we should start writing him letters addressed to Lord Dampnut, the LORD part he probably won't mind the Dampnut as he really isn't know for his humility nor his appreciation for satire or parody it might drive him insane. Honestly I don't really do anagrams too often, mainly because I probably wouldn't stop coming up with words and I might skip the funny ones just to keep on going.

Now to be fair, IF Donald Trump had a decent sense of humor ain nothing wrong with damp nuts. They may have initially been wet nuts, which hopefully meant they were either involved in strenuous activity or a whole lot of fun. The Donald has always been known to brag about his sexual prowess and attractiveness to the ladies so this SHOULDN'T be too big of a shot to his ego. But he's Donald Trump, EVERYTHING is either a shot to or a boost for his ego.

A prayer breakfast:Talk about how I did on the apprentice
Executive Orders:Call a press conference(but don't take questions)
Have a secured phone:Stay tweeting on your regular account on your unsecured phones
Crooked Hillary and her unsecured email server: Still uses your Gmail account.

I would say something about hypocrisy, but that would require some folks to pick up a dictionary to do more than balance out a table. Read more than just the names of beers(or memorize the colors), and understand that there is such a thing as FACTS, things that can be proven, recorded, and recreated and then there is an opinion that anyone can have but that is not LAW nor UNIMPEACHABLE. This is meant to be light hearted so don't worry I ain about to go off on a tangent, I truly find it amazing that THIS is what we have come to. Having the guy screaming at the top of his lungs in a delusional tangent as the leader of the free world. But hey, in my lifetime I have now seen the White Sox, the Red Sox, and the Cubs win a world series. I have seen the Cleveland Cavaliers win an NBA title, I even saw the Tampa bay Buccaneers win a Superbowl so it isn't like the crazy or previously impossible has never happened before.

So we have decided to turn real life into fiction, I wonder if I get super powers next and whose

Oops did I do that(5/17/11)

Looking at my "Networked Blogs" page I noticed a huge goof. As I was going back through some of my recent "raw blogs" I noticed how HUMONGOUS some of the pictures had come out, messing up the whole flow of the page. Granted these were raw, I knew they were raw, many of them came from days when I had no electricity so that I didn't have access to puter or internet to resize them. Thing is that isn't the "goof", the goof was that after I edited said blogs I forgot to check the "post preferences" at the bottom.

What's "post preferences"(which understand if that ain the right name it will be edited out and I'll floating text said changed) you may ask, it allows me to choose the date and time a post will appear INCLUDING leaving a post to be added in to a previous months register. This is good if you just wish to edit typos and aren't doing a whole new blog. Now I have to go back and re edit posts and HOPE I can remember what days they were originally posted. Some were within the last few days so its going to be annoying but not impossible(especially since most of my posts DON'T have comments), but certain ones(like the warriors way blog) I know the exact date of (12/5/10 had to go back to that date too many times to answer responses on it, which was AWESOME).

Another thing YAY I'm losing mass, yes the numbers on the scale are dropping too but just like when trying to build muscle when your skinny the scale usually takes the longest to change. Your body though it starts change pretty steadily. I took pics of my belt, the same belt I bought last year sometime after mold old one broke. My belt was kinda tight when I bought it, there was just enough left over to go through a couple belt loops, a couple. Now, whew its actually pulled all the way around to almost the middle of my back. Which is cool, what's not cool is trying to capture a picture of said amazingness. As you can see the third one shows you how much extra belt I have(second one is pretty useless) and the first shows my back and front pockets as well as part of the belt.

Now no this does not mean my beer(well really little debby, chocolate, bbq, and cheesesteak gut but beer is so much quicker to say) is gone its still fighting for dear health, buttressed by the fact that I seem to be allergic to sit ups lately. My waist though is shrinking, probably need to go pants shopping soon, to get smaller pants that no longer have a 4 in the front would be nice. I think that being in my 30's(yeah yeah late 30's I know) having a waist size in that same range is pretty respectable. Im probably a good 3 or 4 inches away from that, not that I have the measuring tape at the ready. But as the tops of my pants start to pleat and I continue to pull my belt another notch or two tighter the conclusion is easily reached.

PLUS me and a certain sibling have switched places in the "who's heavier" department *fist pump* while I may not be at my "target weight" I am seeing significant progress. Now I can just get close to or catch the other sibling(and not look anorexic or monstrous) I'll be happy.
Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.8

Now this bad boy says published, and yet it is in my drafts section, oh well. It's extra funny because that belt(you know the one in the pictures) died a few weeks ago and I had to buy a new one. So this is actually an homage to my good old belt, may you rest in piece thanks for keep my butt covered

My thoughts on DLC pt.2

As often happens I started getting long in the tooth, anyway yes DLC is here, it's here to stay(as are micro transactions, different post entirely), and some of us accept it others hate it to their very cores. DLC has it's benefits, many of which I myself make use of but if the game sucked there is very little DLC can do to fix it(unless you completely revamp the game). So back to it..

I have talked about in previous blogs either on here or wordpress games I have played, the experiences I have had with said games. I think I ranted once about Magic Duels breaking the damn game with one of their updates(that was definitely on wordpress) because not all updates are good updates. Even if a company doesn't mean to all updates aren't created equal, I used to enjoy playing magic duels but do I really want to go back and remake EVERY deck because some how they glitched them all out? Nope but back to whether or not all downloaded content Paid DLC

My thoughts on DLC

Right around the middle of the last console generation(Ps3 and Xbox 360) there was the advent of a NEW process/product DownLoadable Content. At first what it meant was that if there was a bug found in a game since most systems were online not only compatible but connected that the publisher would kick out a small patch to fix whatever was going wrong in the game. Then, as a way of increasing replay value, companies started pushing out new maps and skins FIRST for free and then for a small fee. In the beginning it was a "meh, whatever I'll see what it is and deal with it later" type of experience. Depending on what type of gamer you were once you beat the game you beat the game, or if you are like me once you got used to the games mechanics it was all about the online play so you weren't worried about some new level.

As micro transactions started to take hold there was a NEW "Invention" the season pass. Now what pray tell is a season pass, well for a fee of anywhere from 10.99(I think that's what the first set of season passes I ever saw cost) to then 29.99 and now 39.99 or 49.99 depending on the game you can get constant software updates. Not patches but new areas, maps, weapons, skins, missions, characters, vehicles, and almost a whole new game. Depending on who you ask you are either buying an unfinished game at full price and are then paying them to finish it with a loan of anywhere from half to 3/4's of the games initial price or else you are paying constant new ip added to your favorite game going forward. This is not to say that you can ONLY get these new accessories by buying the season pass, no you can purchase them a la carte later but then it gets a lot more expensive. I remember when I bought Call of Duty: Ghosts and didn't purchase the season pass(didn't know how much I was gonna be playing it going forward) I could buy the maps for like 10 bucks(if I just wanted the maps) and the guns/dogs for like 5 later on. So yes I paid full price for the initial game, then when I saw what maps were out, I decided if I wanted them and if I wanted the accessories that came out with them or just the maps and paid the 10.99 or 14.99.

Please pick one:a dictionary, Thesaurus and YOU(Dec of 2011)

Yo some of yall need to stop abusing language. Every word is not a catch all:
Desperation is not the same as thirst, on top of that THIRST is not a bad thing. Thirst is a warning that lets your body know it needs to hydrate. Desperation is an act when you FEEL you are at the end of your rope, are about to run out of opportunities or about to miss the greatest. And somebody who is a better wordsmith when they compose their compliments or someone getting more compliments than you is neither THIRSTY nor DESPERATE. Posting a pic when you are feeling yourself is not thirst trapping. And some of this language abuse is so transparent, so much a dance of banner waving, soap box transference and attention whoring

I decided to do a little reorganizing

If you noticed I put some tabs up top, unfortunately I am now going to have to edit everything so that first the tabs fit better, and second I am going to have to go back through a whole lot of posts and figure out what I want to call everything. I do some housekeeping every once in a while anyway but I think this little bit of navigational reorganization will help folks find what they are looking for when they come by. Yes those tabs used to be on the side, but since I was adding so many of them I decided to move it up top like pretty much everyone else.

Mainly because they look better up there. You want to put two or three things on the side fine but once you get above 3 drag it to the top boyo. I'm not guaranteeing that the current names will always be the names, some of them are already making me feel some kind of way but the tabs WILL be up there for the foreseeable future. some of you are probably cheering I don't know why I didn't do this before but now yeah I want to go ahead and add these sections. The funny thing is I already had labels on MOST of the posts(the editing will be to go back and add them to the posts that will help to organize them where I think they belong), just not all. Sometimes I do a post and forget to add the labels, not maliciously(though it does feel like it when I have to go back through a few hundred posts to clean up after myself) just because at the time I might not have known WHAT I wanted to add as a label yet.

All I want is your blood

Selene, Death Dealer former member of a vampire coven and amongst their elite. She is also a lover, to Micheal Corvin a hybrid heir to Corvinus blood line which spawned both Vampire and Werewolf. She is a mother, though robbed of much of the journey of Motherhood due to a werewolf faction actions in Underworld Awakening, to Eve the FIRST pure blood Hybrid ever born. Her life has always been war, from the time her family was killed by Lycans(or so she thought). To her time as a Death Dealer, to trying to protect her love Micheal, and saving her daughter Eve.

Hunter

Hunted

Traitor

Survivor

But like all warriors, even immortal ones, the constant state of battle is wearing on her. Her lover Micheal is missing, after the events of Underworld Awakening while she has found her daughter, she lost her love. And because of the seductiveness of Hybrid blood, especially PURE HYBRID blood it is too dangers for mother to be near or with her child so even her child that she barely knows is lost to her. All she has, is running and for a predator running is no way to live.

Trailers for Underworld: Blood Wars

Welp I made it to the movies on time, huzzah as such my movie was of course underworld review to come in 2 days. I got 5 trailers with Blood Wars a decent smattering of genre's and I also got to see that SOMEBODY forgot when springtime started because Sleepless is out in theaters now but the trailers all said spring(unless somehow someway the MIDDLE of January became Springtime).

As for this set of trailers 3 could count as sci fi, one counts as a Video Game movie, 2 count as monster movies, 3 can count as Horror movies, and 2 are newbies I never heard of before with interesting looking casts. I know some of yall are doing the math saying, "he said 5 trailers, how he get so many of each type?" Mainly because a lot of these movies are cross genre and as such you could go see them as a few different types of fan. But without further adieu the first trailer after the jump

Out for blood

So I decided to head on out to the movies solo, Eikichi isn't in the mood to see my first choice  (blood wars), and of course why waste time hoping for the second choice. He sucks but I understand, movie starts at 7:30 if  I make it in time, otherwise back ups will be Sleepless and Triple X 3:return of Xander Cage.

I'd prefer my first choice because I want to know how the series ends, at least I think this is the end. Two 3 plus years hiatuses I think everyone is tired of doing this franchise.

Welp I made it to the theater, let's pay my 11 bucks and get it on.

Slowly sneaking up on 500 posts

In the 8 year journey that has been the creation, maintenance and writing of Primal's Ponderings I don't know if I ever expected to reach this point. I mean 8 years is a long time and this isn't my first nor my only blog. I have had blogs on Yahoo360(now gone), Multiply(also gone), of course Wordpress is still around, and this one, I have a presence on G+(though not the one attached to this page, IJS), and of course if you have read any of my gaming posts here or on the press know that I have a PSN and an XBL name as well. I don't own a wii or wiiu(the wii I had is with the ex), so no I am not on whatever Nintendo calls it's online gaming network(if they even have one) who knows if I will get a Switch(later blog) but this has been a long and interesting ride.

I have written essays, movie reviews, books reviews, rants(lots and lots of rants), and I have had quite a bit of fun with it, yes I would love a little more interaction but I am willing to wait and work for it. I always have, because if I am going to have a conversation I want it to be organic, I want you to really be engaged and care about whatever the subject matter is. Counting this one I will be at 460, there are also some throwbacks scheduled so I should be somewhere near 470 by the time Friday rolls around which gives me a good 30 blogs to get to the big 500. That's a nice milestone no where near one a day, not even one a day for the lifetime on the blog but for one person writing by themselves and trying to stay inspired I think it's pretty good, I'm sure others are like lazy, hey do what you do, I'll do what I do.

Primal's rules to writing

Save on this blog I have absolutely none, and the only one on this blog is "Dear Primal do not curse in a post," if I so chose I could curse in the commentary but I have yet to actually have anyone come through who deserves said ire. I mean it's not like I have never had disagreeable people come through before(well technically not on this blog), unfortunately for me unless it's a really poignant(I swear I always want to add an extra N to that word, I guess I could have used Topical or Insightful) I probably pay you no mind. I write for the most part as I speak, so yes I really am this random, I do tend to bring up movies, TV, or music a lot, and you may have to go back and reread because you may find that the scenic route I took you was the actual route I was trying to take to the subject.

The route was colorful, sometimes comical or sharp, and always exactly how I meant to say it, if I said it at all. It's kind of the reason why any throwback post you see isn't edited though commentary may be added later. Writing is a process even for me, and just like on social media, "if you see what I deleted because I either thought it was too much or else didn't think it efficiently got the point across you might be scared of exactly how much I thought about said subject." I don't like to be misunderstood, which is why I probably say way too much, typos/misspellings/my issue with homonyms I can get around. Being misunderstood though, it's damn near a nervous tick I don't just like being heard, I like for the person/people who hear me to actually understand where I am coming from.

The Lost day pt. 2

I am sure that there are plenty of folks who are going to see this as someone being a sore loser, that is absolutely possible. I can be looking at my 35 years of CONSCIOUS observation of the world all wrong, I do wear glasses(glasses that need to be replaced, they are old and broken), and I can absolutely read a situation wrong. I may like to read comic books but I possess none of the clairvoyance that appear in their pages, nor that on the movie screen, I don't know the ancient art of scrying, am in  possession of no magics besides that of imagination, and have no skill whatsoever in divination. I observe people, situations, and I play the odds accordingly.

This is also not a "money is the root of all evil" kick, I honestly think evil needs no help it just needs opportunity. The previous post and this one are looking at how we have changed, and what those changes especially socially have caused to develop and fester in us. People with money are still people, their motivations are similar to ours sometimes the consequences just differ. Again I am not saying rich people are inherently evil, whether they scratched fought, and clawed their way to the top or else by luck of DNA were born into. Not even if by luck of DNA, Networking, and circumstance you MARRIED in to it honestly congratulations.

The Lost day

Let's just get it over with, Yes Donald Trump is being sworn in as president of the United States today. That means people will be unfollowing Potus on Twitter, as well as Flotus, that we go from Crazy uncle Joe to condescending Santa as Vice President and that pain is about to rain down from D.C. because finally the Foxes run the hen house, the wolves are in the sheep's pen, and the thieves have found your spare key. In case you can't guess no I didn't vote for Trump, in good conscience I couldn't allow myself too. Then again I pride myself on being a decent human being not a vulture or wolf, I may not like being begged but if I see that you need help I don't mind offering.

There has been a trend over the last 20 years that ADMITTING you need help, don't know or understand a situation, or acknowledging/respecting/and allowing someone else's experience whether it be positive or painful to stand without having to buttress or play understudy to our own. I know I wrote my "Brewster's Millions Theory" way back in the heyday of 09, and that a lot has changed since then(economically) unfortunately not socially. Well, let me rephrase that it has changed just not for the better we really really don't like each other.

Wild and wacky day(1/27/11)

I began my day with an early service call and a customers site where basically it appeared that his computer had died, I take that back it wasn't appeared the computer refused to boot up at all, it ignored his hard drive, his cd rom drive any attempt to use that PC was met with a system reboot. I removed the cover, and the extra airflow allowed me to boot to the CD-rom but not boot to the hard drive, so I did a visual inspection saw some bulging capacitors and gave the customer the bad news. I tried to reboot it again in front of him no dice.

Now like many of my customers this man was a muslim(he says devout, I'm just restating what he said I'm not judging the depth of his faith), he pulled out his prayer beads, told me that with the current economy he could not afford a new system, or even a refurbished one, and that if there was anything that could get him an extra 2 months of this system working he would gladly spend the money it took to get a new system in 2-3 months.  He had said that before with empty hands, but now that he said it(as well as a vow to his deity) with the prayer beads in his hands I rebooted it one more time because he asked me to, I even removed my boot disk as not to stress the system any, and

We saw the welcome screen(had seen that before and it crashed and rebooted)
He walked away
I saw his desktop and heard the windows chime
I saw his camera system come up
And I saw it start recording like it hadn't just ignored 35 minutes of me attempting everything I knew to get it to work.

So when he walks back in the door I tell him he has the luck of the irish, and that in 2 months he better buy a new computer. I don't believe in coincidence, he asked the universe for 2 more months to be able to gather up the funds he needed for a new system, with the beads of his faith in his hands. His system started working, I don't know about you, but thats a deal I'm not going to try and renegotiate. I collected my fee, freed him up some hard drive space, told him DO NOT MESS WITH IT(I'm just saying when you go from total devastation to "OMG it's working" don't tempt fate) and suggested on St. Patty's day he get a green milk shake(he's muslim I don't know how valid the line was but in 13th warrior Antonio Banderas said "no fermentation of fruit or grain shall touch my lips" and he was playing a muslim, so the green beer was out) and I walked out the door.

I get to my next site a similar situation, dudes system is dead I move his card over, I get it working in a new computer there are some issues with a few cameras being out, and if we touch the cable or the external hard drive it shuts off. So I give them the same don't touch it warning, or the option to buy a new drive(internal or external) which is going to cost roughly 200 for a 2 TB drive. Time to collect waiting around for dude who is going to pay me, can get my Boss(my father) on the phone pretty much the whole time, finally somebody who is authorized to have the cash doled out to me shows up, I give him a slight discount, he asks for a deeper discount(cash in hand is better than me standing around, and it was close enough to my don't take any less price I am always given so I was about to accept it), money is in the guys hand, it's counted out, and right before it gets handed to me, my Dad calls so I hand the phone off and the guy doubles his discount by talking to the boss. I laugh my behind off because at any other time I'd have to wait 20 30 minutes for my Dad to call me, and this time he calls and costs himself money. We both chuckle and I head off to my next stop.

This one is just a courier run, I pick up a monitor, talk to my cousins girlfriend's cousin, and drop the monitor off on the other side of town. I talk to a good friend on the phone for a few minutes, because it seems insanity is running rampant on social networking sites, and I head of to a customer who is having a network issue. Well I don't DIRECTLY head off I stop at subway for a footlong oven roasted chicken(what it's been a while since I had one and I was hungry) I pump my old school funk/soul music while I eat in my car, finish off my cookies and drive off to the customers site. Okay somehow his computer has crashed again and he has reloaded it. Thats fine, he even reloaded the camera software(looks like he loaded the wrong camera software the first time but I digress) but for some odd strange reason he can't get the internet to work. Hey I don't mind hard times you do what you gotta do, but somehow it seems it's more than just the software that was reloaded, because I try to change some settings in his router because they are off. Oh well I fight with it for about 45 minutes to an hour decide that I have somewhere else to be and make arrangements to either return later on tonight(as I am typing this now from the house that ain happen) or come back tomorrow at 2.

Pick up my uncle(since I was using his car), meet my coworker to get our other vehicle, ride back to the house and here I sit laughing about a weird day gone by.  My take

⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫⧫

This post probably got lost to whatever the rest of that day entailed. Even as I'm reading it back I'm lmao, because now I wonder, "damn did he hit us up in 3 months for that new system?" Life imitates art, which imitates life, which is as random as it can be on both sides and this day was proof of that. Life has some many ups and downs and weird turns, I wish I had finished this post out that day I can't remember how it ended almost 6 years ago now(crazy huh, that's why I like putting the dates on these maybe it was forever ago maybe it was just a few short months. Most likely though they were interesting to me at least interesting enough for me to start writing about them...

My thoughts on "Great Americans" Day

Yesterday was the day we officially honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy as a leader of the civil rights movement. In most places we just call it "The King Holiday" not King as in Ruler, or as in Holy Savior but King as in the man's surname as well as the Hopes and Aspirations that he did not get to see come to fruition, also the ones that have yet to come to pass. In what can only be considered a cosmic coincidence the Confederate General Robert E. Lee was also born in the third week of January, Dr. King on the 15 (roughly 60 years after the Confederates death) and General Lee on the 19th. Not that it is hard to understand people are born every day, people who will make marks on history are no different, and it can not be denied that BOTH of these men made marks on history with similarities in the adversary even if not so much in the desired outcome of their causes.

I am going to be honest, yes I am black, yes I have particular feelings on the Confederacy and how I view it, it was a traitorous act and they lost, period. I don't really care about Lincoln's part in this(he has his own birthday celebration), or Grant's(who of course in honored in Presidents day) because I don't have to like someone you feel is a hero or did something who was heroic. Can I respect that a man fought for what he believed in even if I do not agree with what he believes in, yes. And as such I am going to examine the PROBLEM with calling it Great American's day.

Finally bought an external drive for my Xbox

It's one of this and the last gaming cycles biggest controversies: Xbox will let you download, store, play and TRANSPORT your games on an external drive and PlayStation won't. Now to be fair, it wasn't too big a deal before all these digital day one downloads started popping up. I mean yes you might download a new map pack, or a few updates, a couple of arcade games but until ALL the games started downloading onto your actual system hard drive space took a long time to use up. But if you ask your friends with a PS4 or an Xbox one, they will tell you even if you own the disk the game still downloads onto the hard drive taking up prime hard drive space. 30-50 GB doesn't seem like much until you have downloaded 10 games onto your system and THEN it's like well damn I'm almost out of space.

Microsoft to the rescue, go buy you a nice 1, 2, 4, 5, or 6 TB external drive and boom you now have more gaming space and what do you know you can also transport those games like you used to with the old little memory cards back in the PlayStation one and Dreamcast days. So you don't have to take all your disks with you. as long as you keep your hands on it you can take you digital library anywhere you go. I got the MY Passport X from WD, I could have got the one from Seagate(and I might in the future if I decide to buy that external hard drive enclosure that gives you 3 extra usb ports) but while I usually like green MEH, I like black too. The set up is pretty basic, unpack the drive attach the usb 3 cord, plug it into your xbox, boot it up, FORMAT IT....

My favorite trailers of 2016

2016 was an interesting year for movies, we had a lot of blockbuster I believe 2016 was a record breaking year for the movie industry(I know Disney made it to 1 billion faster than anyone else, granted they did have Zootopia and Civil War to start out the year with), it also saw some monumental flops, as well as the first flop that technically made money, but disappointed almost everyone who watched it. As such you know what interests some people in a movie: A mean trailer, like if you can sell your movie in a trailer that might lead you to a decent opening weekend. My favorite trailers technically weren't in 2016, they were the Deadpool trailers and 90% of those were dropped in 2015. We also had an interesting trailer war going on between Marvel and DC, I think Marvel won the MOVIE war this year, I definitely know Disney did, Civil War, Finding Dory, Zootopia, Rogue One and I am sure I missed a few(Since everybody has under studios that count towards their year) but I think DC had a few good trailers too, especially for Suicide Squad.

Now to do this list I am not just going to talk about every trailer I saw, that would be too easy. I am going to go through the trailers that I saw in theater of course you are going to wonder, "how is he going to remember all of those movies?" Well for those who have been reading this blog for a while you will remember my method for doing the trailer blog before the reviews I text myself the trailers for each movie I see during the year. So I am going to go through each movie text, rewatch the trailers and then decide which were my fav's for the year. And yes I will do them just like I usually do the trailer blog by linking you to said trailer. Now it may or may not be the first trailer but I will try and give you the one that really got me hyped for the movie.

Does X-men:Apocalypse spell the end for X-men movies for Singer(throwback from 8/10/16)

It's been 3 weeks, and while people love to blame underperforming comic book movies on Super Hero fatigue I think if we are honest we know it isn't fatigue it's crappy movies. When you make a crappy movie, it doesn't perform.

Deadpool a fan favorite, niche, parody of another comic book character pretty much quadrupled it's production budget.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice a mash up of quite a few Fan favorite stories, that had a ROCKY delivery(if I am being generous) barely made it's money back and is seen as a flop domestically.

Captain America: Civil War has already surpassed BOTH Deadpool(the runaway success) and Batman v Superman(a movie that was pushed up a WHOLE MONTH so they didn't have to directly compete) by crossing the 400 million mark. Deadpool fell just short at like 373 million, Batman v Superman needs a hail mary to even get close before they drop the DVD in 2 months at 336 million.

So what about X-men:Apocalypse, it is coming up on the one month mark, how much has it made 146 million. All 3 movies previously mentioned had crossed the 200 million threshold within 2 weeks. Come this Friday it will have been 4 weeks since Apocalypse was released. I already gave my opinion of this movie, it's the Distinguished mutant. The names you know without the cohesiveness you love, this movie is a shell of itself and what it should have been. Hell Days of Future Past got way closer to the mark and was a hit, and was one of the reasons so many people were hyped for Apocalypse. The problem is most of the initial media released for the movie started to douse said hype, we appreciate the costumes but we also need the powers.

My movies of 2016 pt. 2

As you can see the first half of my list had up and downs it was almost like if I watched a good movie the next one was crap. Now I didn't plan it that way(because NO ONE plans it that way, who wants to waste money on crappy movies), in the second half of the year though I had much better picks granted I didn't hit every movie I planned to hit but I got 3 good ones and one decent one. It was much better than the movie that culminated the last list but it wasn't the high point of the second half of 2016.

2016 also see me hit the drive in again for this first time in years, which redeems the drive in because if I'm not mistake my last drive in movies was The Hulk(yeah yeah get your HOOOOEMYGAWDS out of the way). It was a nice date night with an old friend and while the slush machine was a little bitter we enjoyed the movie, which was

My movies of 2016

I initially tried to write this on Wordpress but it became my "everything I did in 2016" blog, so we gone try this again, over here, with no cursing, EEEEEEVEN though I am gonna be discussing some straight up GARBAGE movies. but lets give it a go shall we. As you know I tend to go to the movies a fair amount, some years and months more than others. I think I hit 10 last year, not all the ones I wanted to or THOUGHT I would see, I hit most of the majors but not all of them. And it was a mixed bag, seriously a mixed bag because there were some good movies, some bad movies, some nice attempts and then some I have no clue what the director was thinking.

When I did this on word press I meant to, actually I'm not sure what I meant to do so now I am gonna to give you a few paragraphs about each movie I watched and if I feel it's getting wordy I will break it up into extra posts. Now personally I feel that my movie watching year started out pretty damn well, as only it could with what we were given the one and only
