3 Warmish days in a row

Okay, there goes my hair. I mean I know for years I was "long hair don't care" before Weezy made it a catch phrase. But now since I doubt seriously that I will ever attempt to grow dreads again(my mothers father had the Picard look in his 50's to early 70's and my dads father had pretty thin hair when he was late 60's to early 70's). ¡sidenote¡ I know some people with dreadlocks have started removing dread from the name because "there is nothing scarey about my hair", I don't because the determination and dedication it takes to grow and maintain them, as well as the mindset it takes to even begin the lock journey requires more than a "whim".

I understand that a mind that focused and that willing to endure ostracism and ridicule before they reach the "promised land" of long and strong locks is a concern for some people. I remember my initial locking journey, I think my hair had neen locked for 2 months so I didnt have "chin length" dreads yet they were still at the shooting out in all directions phase. We went to the family reunion, and the first time my grandfather saw them he said "it looks like he got twigs on his head". Yeah it did, but that was my choice everybody else had either afro's or fades but me the "stubborn individualist" that I have always been had fallen in love with dreads and was determed to get them. The hardest part was the itching, unless you have the money to get them constantly refreshed it is best not to wash your hair for the first 3 weeks after getting dreads. But once that 3 week period is over wash them and reapply wax(I prefer the yellow beeswax to the black, personal preference thw black is just messy as hell) and enjoy your new hair style. People with dreads are becoming pretty creative now, I see folks with braided dreads, the classic pony tail, I used to pull the sides back and leave the back down.

I rarely let my hair grown for too long since my second shearing, this winter I grew it out to avoid some of the head colds I caught last year hats are nice but hair is better at keeping your head warm. So this is me, the less scruffy, just as grumpy in the morning, lazy blogger, going to work for probably another long saturday.

My new webcam

This is about to be cruel, yes I am about to do Will Smith's MiiB bit

Old and busted

New hotness

Thats right the new webcam is all awesome looking and the picture quality is amazing, I feel kinda dumb for forgetting to use my Best Buy reward points, but hey it was a nice deal. I may not have liked the picture quality of my old webcam but my wifes looked fine so i figure I just got the bum camera. The new cam, awwww man can I say they(logitech) did not oversell the picture quality. I mean at 2 MP(before I rebooted my PC) I looked clear, you could see my face, the stuff in my background actually had form and shape. At 8 MP wow I almost feel like you see me right in front of you.

Sooo I have an Oovoo account now

3 guesses what the user name is(and the first two don't count). It means I had to find my camera's software(yes the picture still sucks looks like I need to shell out 40 bucks for a newer version of this POC, Piece of Crap for those who don't know with a mic), I'm still downloading the software to use the video chat part(yeesh I'm not even gonna use that I'm just gonna use yahoo or fb, or oovoo and crap).

I was gonna wait til I get a new laptop to start an oovoo account but as that is taking longer than usual(lots of miscellaneous bills keep popping up and I refuse to revisit the Acer fiasco, yes it was only $450 but dang only lasting 2 years not acceptable)I have a cam, that was attached to said fiasco and I can use that for now in all of it's grainy splendor, I swear if I could get tango to work on my backflip I MIGHT use that, than again no unlimited internet on the work phone, no tango like product on the crackberry.

Anyway this was just a quick shot(and probably should have been done on Word press, I keep not blogging there oh well I will get around to it, this one took a while to take off too but look at it now. well look at it most of the time) NO I do not accept random friend requests yes you can just send me a message, hey what do you know I have e-mails listed here you could just send me e-mails and say hello.  Please no spam, if it looks like spam I don't read it off my phone anyway, what you know I do most of my blogging through the phone now why are you acting so surprised that I read the majority of my e-mails there too.  Except for hotmail I have all but abandoned that account, I should probably check it.

The children of Lorien

This is kind of funny, it took me way to long to come up with a title for this blog, my last good review(I believe that would be for The Warriors Way) was pretty damn easy, it was the opening line of the movie this one hmm not so much.

This movie opens to a scene in the jungle, you pan over a small village, then some trees, then a lit up bungalo out in the middle of the trees. You see two mosquito netted beds, with someone asleep in each one, something jiggles the handle at the front door. A man stands up, grabs an interesting looking curved blade with a weird glowing blue ball near the bottom and cautiously walks up to the door. The handle stops moving, he peers out sees nothing is about to turn around when the door is engulfed(by what you don't see just yet) and the young boy who was asleep in the other bed goes tearing out of the window(his window jump was good, but Scott Pilgrim gets that award) after a series of jumps, tumbles and flips he winds up (by the throat) in the hands of some weird bald dude with weird markings on his head. In a gravelly voice the man tells him how fun it's going to be to kill him, runs him through with a blade of his own, and he turns to dust.

The trailers for: "I am number 4"

Disney's Prom

I almost thought this was "High School Musical" whatever because I mean thats what it looked like:a generic angsty teen age movie where the kids were basically hashing out what they were going to do for their last big hurrah: Senior(I'm assuming) Prom. It appears to follow the "hi jinx" of 4 couples(actually 3 couples and one dude trying to ask out his high school crush, snake bit doesn't begin to explain the futility of dudes attempts). Nope not even remotely interested in this movie further the fact that it made me think it was another movie I had no desire to see did not bode well for it in my mind. There have been a million "Teen coming of age" movies many of them were epic and we fell in love with them:Weird Science, 16 Candles, The breakfast club, hell Superbad, Ferris Beulers day off, meatballs okay problem is many of the movies that are going to pop into my head were the classics from my day. I guess Juno could be considered one as well, Clueless, minds drawing a blank really on some of the names I can see some of the actors faces but see that is me going through a lot more work then is necessary for a movie I think is going to be dull and boring.

X-men:First Class

Long day, bone tired

Okay due to situations beyond my control today ended after 9pm for me. So no I'm not in a good mood, "The Losers" came out on HBO tonight so that was kinda cool. I'm currently downloading the "Killzone 3 single player demo" from PSN, I was about to play Black Ops but it seems that attack on Sony's network I was reading about earlier popped up. A long expansive new TOS(Terms of Service for those who never got those warnings back in the AOL days), that probably provided me more eye strain than any 3D movie I ever tried to watch wearing glasses.

Before I stepped out to make my last delivery tonight i had STARTED the trailer blog for "I am number 4", I was talking about X-men:First Class, I'm doing this blog from my android as not to remove that one from my screen. Damn this is a long D/L it started oit at 34 minutes, not one to easily fall asleep when the sun goes down Boredom is boredom.

Now to be honest I have not played a single Killzone before, I know it was the supposed Halo killer but to my knowledge it never lived up to the hype. Was Halo perfect no(damn near, but no), it was fun as hell though. It allowed me and my siblings and my young wife a chance to bond, smack talk, and enjoy evenings at home together, aaaah good times. Pre halo I hated FPS' they were always clunky and awkward but after Bungie's epic I gained a new appreciation for the Genre.

Man my lids are heavy sitting here doing nada, the trailer blog is one of Two blogs I mentioned wanting to do on facebook the other is of course the review of the movie. 8 minutes left on the killzone Demo, I hope its fun. Putting this blog down may take a short nap since the content is taking its sweet old time

On the way to the Malco Stage rd 13

Another movie night, a different venue. It seems that the Raligh Springs 12 has been demoted to 2 shows a day on week nights and 3 a day on weekends. It seems times are truly hard for a pimp out here. But the Stage 13 isn't a bad venue either, nice seating, concessions ain too pricey, nor are tickets.

Not to say its perfect, the raleigh 12 is a short walk away(as previous blogs will attest), stage is a car ride away no matter what. So stage means no cardio, no blogging along the way(unless Lank, yeah yeah his nick name, decides to drive) no blogging and driving ladies and gents. Lank ain too much for before or after movie convo, but he's cool when he does chime in.

Aiight enough rambling on I have a blog to write about the trailers and then about the movie
