New work phone part Deux

It finally happened, kind of hilariously actually. The ONE time I do not attempt to juggle catch my Galaxy Note One when it is knock out of my hand I don't hear the tell tale *clack* but a somewhat muffled *crunch*. I know there is a post on here a few years back showing my Note 1 in it's Otterbox, and I sung the glories of the Otterbox case. And still will, I mean back in the summer I dropped it off the top of a 12 foot ladder into some turf and it survived unscratched. Well the phone was unscratched, the case has slowly but surely been showing the wear and tear of being owned by me. The difference between this time and that is simple, any Otterbox user will tell you the ONLY weakness in the case is that if you catch a corner in the center the phone is toast. as you can see from the picture it's got a big white scratch in the center. so after a few days of mourning(I really did love that phone, it was finally beginning to show it's age) I had to figure out what I was gonna do next. I have two phones for a reason, after 7:30 I'm not picking up my work phone for anybody. I like to keep business and personal firmly separated. So since I didn't want to start giving out my personal number to clients for anything, they meant I had to get on the ball about getting a new work phone.

Now if you have read this blog lately you know my birthday happened recently(yes I broke my phone AFTER my birthday, aaah the irony of life) so I couldn't just turn around and put up some puppy dog eyes and be like "it's my birfday could you please buy me expensive piece of technology so that I might geek out?"
I am usually not of the "pouty begging face" but due to when my birthday is situated if there is ANY day you should be allowed to milk for all it's worth it's your birthday. As I said, mine had passed and Christmas was recently over, AND I think any "you owe me"chits I might have didn't total anywhere close to "new gadget" levels. I would say it was phone shopping time but really I already knew what I wanted to replace it with.  Originally when the Galaxy Note 3 was introduced I was TEMPTED to ditch my note one anyway, the cool watch, the phone with all the features, my tech horns were at full mast. The thing was justification, I mean I have blown money on tech before just because I wanted it(hell I am typing on one such device now) but seriously did I really need the new note 3 and watch? I mean could I give a justifiable business reason for needing the new phone at least, the watch I could finagle(sp?) on my own later but the phone itself?

Truthfully no, my phone was working just fine. Yes the charging port seemed to be a little worse for wear but I had found ways around that plus I could get a charging port on Amazon for like 10 bucks if I was really feeling froggy. With the screen broken now and the polarizer(I saw the Samsung graphic when my phone started up but after that no tactile reaction from the phone) no good, yeah now I have a reason to get a new phone. So of course since I already knew what phone I wanted now it was about coming up with money to get it.
First things first of course it is pretty, I love the Super Amoled screens they are so bright and the pictures look really crisp. The Quad core processor flies. plenty of space on it too(I got the 32 gb, which is awesome since I have yet to fill up my other 32gb phone in a year), and yes I put the same 8 gb microSd card in it. There are a lot of new things on my note 3, I like the new sketch program I mean I have barely used it but I do like it. I also like that they gave me like 6 extra tips for my s-pen. I can't get my Galaxy to unlock by saying "Hi Galaxy" but me and my old Note used to have plenty of missteps too so *shrug*.

Now yes for you tidgy digit people this is a monstrous phone at 5.7 inches of screen space
by the way, that was the last time I held it like this without it's new otterbox case. As for my old Otterbox case, it my battery, and my old s-pen were stolen by my younger brother not eikichi(he has the Note 2) but by the tall one. I was slightly pissed off by it I mean you really could have bought you own, you didn't have to pick the carcass clean, but that just ain his style. I'll show off the new case later, I didn't do the whole phone, tablet, and new phone thing this time yall already know which one is bigger and by how much. Okay enough stalling, somehow someway I ended up with a new phone in 2014 so my adventures in technology continue.

I wonder what's next
