The trailers HP7

Green Lantern- Hal Jordan test pilot comes across a strange alien vessel and is bequeathed a ring and the responsibility as guardian of this quadrant.

I've already seen the lantern trailer, or should I say the much maligned lantern trailer and yeah its a little blatantly CG but so what. I can recognize core characters, while they have changed the lantern a little I see the lantern now no the trailer isn't giving away the whole movie: is it supposed to?

I mean isn't that why people are panning Jonah Hex, all the cool stuff came in the trailer? Its getting my money because its a ryan reynolds action flick and I'm hoping DC has another potential winner on its hands(I'm a marvellite but good competition breeds good movies) this was my first time seeing the trailer in theater.

Season of the witch - Nicolas Cage and Ron Pearlman in some mideaval crusade flick. I don't know it might be kinda cool, looks action packed a little spooky but we'll see. Sword fights and bloodshed USUALLY sell well. First I've seen of the movie so who knows.

Basically Cage plays a well known hero charged with taking a witch to some far off land to be judged and burned. Hero sees something everyone else doesn't see, lines are drawn Butt Kickery ensues.

Tron:Legacy- yeah I know softball. Tron Legacy, the movie I hope is AWESOME just like the original. A sequal over 20 years in the making. Jeff bridges reprises his role from the original tron and has once again been sucked into the computer

But things have changed the world of the constructs has been given a SERIOUS upgrade. Deadly Discs, Light Cycles, Deressing OH MY!
Unless life goes seriously wrong the next flick will most likely get destroyed head to head.

Yogi Bear- Yogi Bear is smarter than the average bear, unfortunately the studio and producers ain. If there was a week to skip a head to head fight with another studios movie for me tron week would have been it. That's just me though..

Yogi bear and Boo Boo's hijinx in yellow stone park. Pick a nick baskets will be snatched, the ranger will scream himseldf hoarse and chuckles will be had, when it comes out on DVD.
Yes I'm a child of the 80's

Yes I grew up on Hanna Barbera

Yes the Yogster and Boo used to give me belly laughs as a kid, tears, runny nose and snot yes.
I'm still going to see tron opening night.

Red Riding Hood- now this one is a little unexpected. There is a werewolf in town and it strikes at night. I know you see Red Riding hood and you think grandmas house, little girl, basket in the forest, yeah all that.

Okay

Girl check

Basket check

Forest check.

Wolf okay werewolf its from the director of twilight what do you want. BUT it might be fun, hey Gary Oldman is in it. It seems to have taken the old spooky kids story and made it teenage fare. It might work I mean Alice in wonderland was decent as a dark more adult tale(granted that was Tim Burton and Tim knows dark, Tim knows dark very well) so I'll give red a shot here. As long as its more about story than gimmick who knows.

Okay almost at the house those were the trailers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1. Anybody interested in any of the films up there, or did you get something different with your potter experience?

The trailers on skyline

Gullivers travels well did this last week so nothing has changed, the gulliver remake starring jack black. It was the exact same trailer as last week so yes it can work. I think the silly take on this tale might work just depends on if they go too over the top.

It has a nice cast who have pulled off decent comedic parts before so like I said if they mesh the studio will be laughing all the way to the bank. Under dog to big man on campus movie they usually work.

Little fockers-its seems the fockers have children and it is time for old Jack to pass the torch to Gaylord Focker. Its hollywood, them milking this joke for "one more gin" while all the principle characters are still alive and kickin yeah wow big surprise here. It might be funny but the whole viagra knock off 4 hour plus erection joke is getting pretty used and abused.

That looks a little harsh I do like most of ben stillers movies, and rarely do you see a Dinero movie that doesn't work and "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers" were both successful movies so if the well ain dry I won't blame a studio for takin another shot, I mean who would have thought Shrek would have pulled off 3 sequels?

Unknown-this was a new trailer Liam Neeson plays a doctor who was in a car crash in the water and wakes up 4 days later after being in a coma. As usual nobody can find any ID on him but he has some scattered memories and runs off to meet his wife. It seems though that either he doesn't know who he is or else foul play is afoot.(I couldn't find a better link for Unknown possibly the NEW official site isn't up yet, seems there were a few other unknowns out there)

Now if this sounds familiar yes Arnold, Matt, Halle, Kevin and Ben have all been down a similar road before. The clandestine Alice in Wonderland flick is back. Their usually good rides so let's hope this suspense thriller delivers the trailer has me interested.

Sanctum-big hole in the ground, a chasm like no other that people climb into with a huge rainstorm on the horizon. The last few deep cave movies didn't do well and I think from looking at the trailer this movie might continue the trend. I'm sorry but if a hole wide enough for you to base jump into, and deep as all hell can be filled up in a rainstorm why isn't this a "lake" movie.

Oh I know what the narrator said "blase' blah cave the last unexplored place on earth, blah blah, wonder beauty, blah blah, if you don't make it out no one will know your story" now yes this is a James Cameron movie and with "Avatar" James has earned himself a leap of faith movie. I just watched "skyline" which was an apocalyptic movie so I'm not saying a human peril movie won't work. I'm just saying I the guys who is all for hollywood bringing back the magic is saying he might have added a little too much elfin magic on this one. We'll see, as I see more about it maybe I'll become more interested.

Okay those were my 4 trailers and my initial thoughts of them feel free to agree, disagree or offer your own viewpoints if you think I have been unduly harsh. Everybody doesn't like the same movie, and everyone doesn't always catch the "fever" opening week but if a movie catches on or a new trailers piques interest, word of mouth, whatever I'm sure hollywood will take it.

Aiight bedding this one til I hit the house

The plan for the evening

After another brisk walk, I think I knocked it down to 30 minutes this time , I'm at the movies again. This time the flick du juor is "Skyline" the flick that looks alot like "Independance Day".

I love me some black women a sister just walked in with her 3 kids and a nice round behind. Pretty face too, but I digress.

Same as last time I will do the trailers, what I think about them and sometime tomorrow afternoon or monday afternoon I will do the review. I've seem some pretty good sci fi flicks this year so I have high hopes. It looks like movies are going into the home stretch for the end of the year, me likey.

It seems I've talked myself to another low battery which is fine as I won't be talking or texting for the next two hours I should have PLENTY of juice for what I'm trying to do. I mean its at 2 bars and trust me two bars can go quick(for me 2 bars can go quick I mash buttons just that much) it was a long day, hopefully I'm about to see a good movie, and when I get home it will be conjure and black ops time.

I hope all reading are having a great weekend and if not, I hope tomorrow turns it around. Aiight time to bed this one I think its about 9:40 now so I can buy my ticket and drink

The trailers

Okay on my movie the trailers I remembered were gullivers travels , Rango, Yogi Bear, Kung Fu panda 2 and I remember something else starting on December 17 but that's tron day so it ain happening.
Damn premature sendage now I'll have to save one and delete the other(did make for a nice aside though).

And updated true to current life Gulliver MIGHT work it has some grade a talent in it actors I like so I might be remotely interested, but no promises.

Basic premis: Gulliver appears to be a freelance writer who goes off to chase a story. Gulliver piloting his boat to the island where said story exists gets caught up in a storm(yeah yeah insert cliche here), sucked into a vortex and appears on the isle of the lilliputians. Now from what I remember from the book gulliver was a little less goofy and more well rounded than the character jack black is playing. But like a few other old classics a little over the top comedy may be just what it needs.

Rango meh don't know enough about the character just looks like an animated wild west tale same trailer I've seen for like the last 8 months now. Lizard in a hawaiin shirt having wild west antics.

Kung fu panda 2. Jack black is back, didn't really show much in the trailer just black returnin as Poe being silly. If the whole original cast is back it should work. Its hard to lose with kung fu action, especially well animated kung fu action.

Yogi Bear. Yogi and Boo Boo are cgi everybody else is live action. Its Yogi Bear if you don't know what to expect kill yaself. Yes there may be some convuluted love interest for Ranger Smith but this is really about the hijinx of Yogster and Boo. It looks like it might be fun, CGI and live action together is like passe' in hollywood now so it won't be the special effects that sink this movie. If anything it will be waiting til Yogi hasn't had a show on the air in YEARS. Scooby doo in some shape form or fashion is always on the air Live actionish(scoob is always animated in), cartoon, cartoon as kids, live action as teens. But past a few cameos with other Hanna Barbera (thought I forgot how to spell it didn't you ha! ye of little faith) on shows like Harvey Birdman attorney at law, and Robot Chicken(on cartoon work) I haven't seen Yogi, Boo boo or Cindy on the air. He's got the hat, the tie, and the ingenuity but will he have the audience.

I think there was one more opening like I said on Tron day but I'm not sure. The movie review will come from the desktop after I finish the other one and add in all the required linkage. Here's hoping no one locked the door on me the house is in sight.
