Red Tails
The story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first black fighter group in the history of America who fought during world war II. This is not the first movie about the Airmen, but this does appear to be the first big screen telling of the tale. The name of the movie comes from the fact that the pilots painted the tails of their jets RED so that when people wondered what squadron escorted their bombers to their targets and backs you would know with absolute certainty who to ask for. In the end credits of the original movie it claimed the 332nd fighter group never lost a bomber, which has been disputed and it is said that the 332nd lost 25 bombers over the course of their missions which was an equally impressive feat as compared to their white counterparts. I don't know but I am putting both numbers out there out of fairness, it was an inspiring story then and hopefully it will continue to be in this new telling.
Since Lucasfilm is involved I know the special effects will be spectacular and I hope that the story matches.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
The Sequel to 2009's Sherlock Holmes based on the Victorian Super sleuth created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle(yes quite ironic that something about a character written by a Conan played on the Conan movie, I know looking waay too deep into this). In this movie Holmes is on the trail of his greatest Nemesis one Professor James Moriarty whom was hinted at during the close of the first movie. Downey jr and Law are reunited to play the Roles of Holmes and Watson also it seems that Dr. Watson is going to get a chance to put some of his Army training to good use on screen. Holmes has a web(of red string) of interconnected events, or so he believes, on his wall detailing what he deduces are movements by his shadowy opponent Holmes and Watson must stop him before he accomplishes his goal, which is of course going to cause Watson some problems as he appears to be on his Honeymoon.
Abduction
A suspense thriller starring Taylor Lautner as a high school teen who finds out his entire life has been a lie. He's being chased by two groups one who seems to be a government shadow group and another who seems to be a bunch of bad guys who want him for some item he supposedly has that they want. So off he goes to not only stop the bad guys but to try and figure out who he really is on a pulse pounding adventure.
Warrior
Warrior is the story about a tournament to find out who the toughest fighter in the world is, that ends up with two unlikely men facing off for the title:Brothers. Tommy is a soldier he has been fighting for his country and is proclaimed a hero for saving a fellow soldiers life. Brandon is a physics teacher trying to provide for his family in a world of upside down mortgages and tightening belts. Brandon has a hidden history though as an MMA fighter and also as an older brother who left home at 16 when his mother and Tommy needed him most. Tommy asks his father to train him, in Tommy's words his dad was always good at that if nothing else. Brandon seeks training from an old friend at a gym, one fresh from the front lines the other fresh from the classroom they will settle their issues in the temple of blood, sweat and bone
