The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Columbia Pictures takes their shot at the book trilogy by Stieg Larsson now this was already made into a movie in Europe back in 2009 and it's now getting the Hollywood treatment. I haven't read the books yet, and the one time I tried to redbox this movie it was scratched halfway through but it did have me hooked in the beginning so maybe I will give it another shot before this movie hits in December. This movie appears to have a lot of intrigue as they search for an heiress lost 40 years ago
In Time
In the near future nobody ages physically past 25. And life is paid out a minute at a time, so if you are rich you could virtually live for ever, but if you are poor don't meet the quota and you die young. Enter Will Salas he is pretty much working a day to day to live day to day. He makes just enough money to stay alive to go back to work. A mysterious stranger comes in and asks him a question: What would you do if you had all the time in the world? It seems that his rich benefactor has lived on this new earth for well over a century and he has gotten tired of his existence, death seems to be his last hurrah. Unfortunately giving someone else his well over a century worth of remaining life doesn't seem to be going over well. And while Will is trying to enjoy his new found "freedom" it seems the Have's are trying to put him back in his place. So when threatened with having his good life taken from him, Will decides to commit an UNTHINKABLE CRIME:he decides to steal all the time in the world, and just give it away
Conan The Barbarian
Jason Momoa as the brooding sword wielding Cimmerian in a Remake of the original. Conan is a fierce warrior, fearless in battle and with one important quest at hand vengeance for the destruction of his tribe at the hands of an evil that is conquering the lands of Hyboria. I like this trailer better than the original smoke and ash one and will probably check it out next weekend.
Shark Night
I guess this is the summer frightfest. I am not gonna act all high and mighty I grew up in the 80's and 90's so I can't act like this piece of fluff is some affront to my eyes and ears. Kids go on vacation(yup like every movie I grew up dieing to go see), in a semi secluded but too awesome to be true location, and as the teens/young adults get heavily engrossed in their fun and frolicking SOMETHING starts picking them off. In this movie it's sharks, in others it was some Hulking Undead Zombie, in others it has been some demon spawn from somewhere. So now they have to figure out who stuck sharks out here in this awesome vacation spot before they all are killed off(don't ask me why SWIFTLY running away and bringing back the cops and animal control isn't a valid option, but again I ain gonna talk crap I've actually seen a bunch of movies like this in my lifetime).
The Sitter
Jonah Hill stars in "Adventures in Babysitting" with more hair on it's balls for 2011. He plays a screw up slacker who is basically trying to coast his way through life on his moms couch, he gets talking into babysitting for a friend of his moms(I'm guessing on this part), and lives up to the trailers claims that he is less than trustworthy when he is lured away from the house with the promise of vagina. And you ride along as he talks the demon spawn along with him in his search for blonde vagina. Now at the moment the Official Site is only a trailer BUT it's a redband trailer so ummmm, watch at your own risk, you think the trailer I brought from youtube is over the top well lets just say he's more than just a smooth talker.
This is my more mature blog. By mature I mean I'm going to follow some rules and I'm going to try and do more then take the easy way out. No cursing I gotta find a different way to say it and still emphatically get my point across
