The first time we ever met

I must admit, they got me of all the people I originally expected her to be I never expected River Song(Alex Kingston) the Precocious Archaeologist who died back while David Tennant was the Doctor to end up being a Human Time Lord. River Song or Melody Pond as her parents had named her the BBC's Time Traveler's Wife(or is she his Mistress since technically the Tardis is his wife). Now that I know more of her story it's like wow she really is awesome, unlike the Doctor she loves guns. She knows it all, but is still impressed by him at every turn.

The first time we met RiverSong(or River Song I've seen it listed as both) was in 2008 during the "Silence in the Library" episode, she pulls the Doctor off to the side and produces a tattered  blue diary. She begins asking him about various adventures none of which the Doctor seems to know anything about.this is the introduction to a running theme in their interactions, every time the Doctor meets River Song from this day forth both will produce Diaries(technically the same diary but watch the episodes to see what I'm talking about). Now thanks to the last episode before the summer break of 2011 this episode will never sit right with me again. The part of the next episode "Forest of the Dead" that kind of sticks out is the Doctors Name(you don't find out til later it's his name that she tells him but the look on his face tells it all)

Though this is the episode of her "death" she's from his future he from her past,so this is their first adventure together. And the fact that she sacrificed herself for him and held his screwdriver from him was hilarious the doctor caged for the first time. He could neither talk nor think his way out of this one. River Song outsmarted the Doctor,a feat a million Daleks would taint their DNA for generations. Of course most fell in love with her character and they don't bring her back for 2 years(Brilliant). So now we have a new Doctor(Matt Smith) a new companion Amy Pond(Karen Gillan) and new adventures, and as only River Song can do she summons the doctor and makes another great entrance(which I can't find a clip for yet I will find it and link to it later)

The mystery of River Song now deepens, she can fly the Tardis not only fly it but it seems fly it better than the Doctor(seems the famous noise we are used to hearing when he lands it is the brake which he always leaves on lmao), to which even Amelia has to ask "How can she fly the Tardis?".  This time though it seems she is not yet PROFESSOR River Song, as she comments "ooh I'm going to be a professor, spoilers" when the Doctor introduces her to Amy as Prof. River Song, she is still a prisoner though. We have yet to find out WHAT she has been jailed for, just that every time we see her she is being chased by some sort of authorities(hell one time we have a Corrections Officer mention that "she's doing it again sir, she's packing"). Shortly after the angel incident we are introduced to Rory Williams((Arthur Darvill) Amy's Fiancee that we met in the first episode of the Matt Smith era. He's a nurse, a pretty decent guy and it seems was Amy's stand-in for the doctor during his 12 year absence It seems the Angel incident happened the night before their wedding so the Doctor brings Rory along to keep Amy in check, they have a lots of adventures all over time(including one that gets Rory killed and eaten up by the Crack in Amy's wall). Rory is brought back in the "Pandorica Opens" which is also another episode that brings River Song twirling back into the Doctors life, after the wedding of Rory and Amy aswell as the Doctor enjoying some time dancing he has a nice conversation with River. She pops up more frequently in 2010 and now 2011 and we finally learn who River Song is in "When a Good man Goes to War".

She is in 11 episodes by the IMDB profile for the character 3 yet to be seen, it was a surprise and a good one, which also makes me wonder if she has known all along what was up with the scene in "The Impossible Astronaut" and possibly was that why she was using a 6 gun and not her normal super pistol. And maybe the slap was for the fact that he put her through it and she wanted him to know if the future exactly why she slapped him. I will admit I was iffy when they switched from David Tennant I had loved his run as the Doctor but Matt Smith is doing a great job.
