Oh before I act all innocent on my way walking home from priest I happened to notice a gentleman walking up in front of me, he had to be a good 30 yards ahead of me, I only barely noticed him when I got to the top of the hill. Now me being me and a little competitive as well as to see if I could catch up without getting winded(and thus show me that this cardio is working). So I upped my pace a little bit and slowly overtook him.
The reason I am smiling devilishly though is a good 4 streets before mine(even though I took the long way and went around) I guess the dog still barking after he had walked past made him curious or something because he turned around with me about 8 feet back noticed me and then started stumbling. It has often been said that I can move with both ninja swiftness and silence sometimes and it seems this was one of those times. I played coy when he tried to get my attention and said "hmm oh sorry I had my headphones on and was just playing my music" but in all honesty I did that on purpose, I was actually hoping to see him jump when I popped up next to him and then walked past. Yeah yeah evil I know, sometimes I can't help it though boredom sets in, I see an unsuspecting victim and what can I say the little devil wins.
And yes I'm terrible because if dude woulda fell I would have been laughing hysterically the rest of the way home
This is my more mature blog. By mature I mean I'm going to follow some rules and I'm going to try and do more then take the easy way out. No cursing I gotta find a different way to say it and still emphatically get my point across

Feeling like the white rabbit
"I mustn't be late, I mustn't be late"
I was a bad boy, I got sucked into "Push" and forgot to charge my phone BUT as baby bro has the Torch now I'm using his half charged battery for the walk up and will use my half charged battery for the walk back.
As I'm walking I believe I will check out "the Chronicles of Narnia, Voyage of the Dawn Treader"(almost lost this blog forgot I started it on the camera). Now I used to own a book of all the collected Narnia works, as I have often said I read a lot as a child. Being a latch key kid with not a lot of friends or near by relatives books and TV were how you got by. I mean yes Nickelodeon had started while I was a child but NOTHING like it is today, and Cartoon Network the stuff of dreams I tell ya.
It was just your 2-3 hour after school block and maybe a holiday special. Rudolph, Charlie Brown, a Muppet something or other who programmed for kids we didn't have money, we didn't buy anything aah how times change.
CS Lewis is said by some to have been a christian story teller. He crafted his love able stories with a central Messiah like figure (Aslan) who may not have been there with you EVERY moment
Okay made it to the movie theater with time to spare I'll expand on my CS Lewis thoughts later

On the combatants path
Walking to go see "The Warriors Way" which I expect to be an awesome movie. Cowboys, ninja's, swords, the wild west and martial arts action.
Yes that is a lot to cram into one movie, yes it looks like a comic book geeks wet dream(yeah like I've ever denied being a comic book geek), and yes there are lots of ways this can become an epic fail. I'm still psyched to be walking to go see it, mad props to @thinkhero and @geektyrant for having the trailers of this movie up on their sites. First place I saw them and it wet my apetite for the movie.
And I want to be honest I hope its an over the top movie, martial arts movies are best when its over the top. Mysticism draws me in, so what if I can't figure it out, or I have a hard time believing it. If I'm spending major amounts of time debunking what happened in your movie, you win. For me to have to "debunk" something that happened in a movie means it captured the hearts and minds of millions. The fact that 30 years after the original Episode IV a new hope scientist are still doing "scientific debunkings" and discussing the practicalities of lucas' epic let's you know the power of that work.
When people just brush you off, you are a fad, a trend maybe a slow growing movement. But when they start discussing you outside of your medium, they start trying to lower the expectations of us reality because: why hasn't science or industry given us this, man you kicked some tail. I don't care what it is at some point in time if its advanced now it was an irrational fantasy of someone who thought outside the box.
Even if its magical, how many times have we heard tales of magic, might and triumph? So the fact that you have capture peoples imagination with you telling, made them want to be a part of your vision is outstanding.
People can always tell you how to do what is expected, what others have done before and made common place. To be extraordinary or exceptional that takes a lot of personal effort. At the theater again I'll take another pic do the trailer blog and cya after the movie.

Life goes on
This is gonna be hilarious, writing one desktop and then flipping over her to write this one.
My wife asked me today what was wrong, there is a lot of things wrong just at the moment nothing I can do about them. My vacation plans are smashed which means no anniversary, birthday or new years with her. Extreme downer after experiencing them all again for the first time in years. To say I felt a little holiday magic was and understatement. We danced when the ball dropped(well the peach in GA), we kissed, we were in each others arms couldn't be beat. We went out to dinner together on our anniversary like we hadn't done in 3 years. If I had an 09 memory that topped all others it was the end of the year with my wife. It was a moment that for a while seem lost to the distant past, maybe I was kinda greedy last year and soaked up more than my fair share of holiday cheer and am payin back the deficit this year. If so I may be sour but I wouldn't trade christmas 09 in for anything, its what priceless moments are made of. So a few uncertain days and perpetual boredom may suck but it doesn't suck as much as last year was awesome.
I'm kind of run down, we've been running a lot of hours and miles at work so I wouldn't mind the downtime vacation would have offered. The money went to a good cause and while I have a few untapped outlets I said last year would be the last time I sold a good performer for quick cash(that being ford). So monetarily I can't afford to go on vacation anyway. I'll probably have to take a few days around christmas but it won't be the 3 weeks with my wife. That's hard to beat, don't care who ya are 3 weeks with the woman you love, sleepin in her arms every night, sharing simple moments unforced just living.
There are a few items, baubles, pittances I wanted but again things happen, money gets spent, plans get changed. You deal and you move on, I mean what am I supposed to do just sit still and wallow in self pity(I mean yes that is an option but its soooo 1985)? What's that gonna change, yes the days are running together and I could tell you the day and not the date, but so what? I'll get a break soon and when I do I will restart my brain in a manner that is more productive(look at my blog last month talk about therapeutic), so why wallow, why focus on one point in the present and stay there? What good will that do me, will it make my dreams come true? Will it make magic appear in front of me? No, then let's keep moving forward and get on to the next thing.
2 days til "the warrior's way", so I'm psyched about that, I was researching phones to see what my new one will be, I'm gonna do it I'm flushing the Curve and getting the new Bold. At first I wasn't liking parts of it, I mean the screen space is the same but its always looked blocky to me, but that 5 mega pixel camera screams awesome to me. Plus it has 3g capabilities, so better and faster surfing. I'll snap pix of it when I get it and post it on the blog. It also has that new "optical" pad instead of the scroll wheel, which you know I like my wheel but maybe that will be better, its not the torch(which I heard has bugs but the large screen PLUS the qwerty is drool worthy, mmmmm porn, what 0_o!? Like I'm the only one who'd watch porn on it, filthy hypocrits) but hey its better than this craptastic wonder I'm using now. I mean my original one with the bad "wheel" was love when I got it but this one has been nothing but a headache.
Aiight I got cleaning to do so I'm bedding this one running to the other one and I'll catch ya later

On a quest to get "Faster"
Yeah yeah, I may(but doubt) change that title later for now I'm walking to the theater to go watch "Faster" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Now I'm going to try something new for this blog I'm gonna type to my little hearts content get to the theater and HOPEFULLY take a photo of another one of Memphis Tn's local dieing malls. Now I've never been in Raleigh Springs mall proper, just into the movie theater and usually for the last or second to last showing.
My mall of choice for most of my time in Memphis was the now MOSTLY defunct Hickory Ridge mall. For most of my time in Memphis it was the mall right down the street now yes I had been to the Mall of Memphis before it shut down(and was then knocked down) but for the majority of my original 6 year stint I was at hickory ridge with brief junkets to WolfChase Galleria(though the only Gal anything mall with a hug place in my heart is the Gallery in Philly).
Call it my "Harbinger of a Declining Economy" but as the entire premise(to my understanding) behind a mall was: enclosed, weather proof, one stop shopping and close proximity for the convenience of consumers with concrete ideas of what they were looking for AND extra discretionary funds in case something shiny caught their eye. Now while walmart may have cheaper pricing on SOME items, some things only helped you if you were a cookie cutter consumer(at first I admit walmart steadily improved itself in the minds and hearts of consumers) so certain things the mall still had them beat on:shoe selection, plus size clothing, electronics selection, tools, automotive, toys, books, etc. Wally world was working its way UP to being your true one stop shop but they weren't quite there yet.
Even in 05 before I left to go to Atlanta the super walmart had just opened down the street so walmarts dominance of my area had not yet begun. After a while though being a second shifter (past 5pm til 1 am or later 3rd shift usually starts after 10 or 11 pm)
Okay at the theater movie about to start about to silence my phone and record the trailers on faster for my walk back. See ya in 2 hours

To the Hallows I go
I may not have gotten to the midnight opening or copped any of the swag that goes with it, but for me that's not what movie watching is about. Its about walking and smelling gas leaks and hoping nobody gets the urge to light a fart. Nah I'm playing(I just happened to smell gas walking down the street) its about the memories and the moods. I'm a grown kid I still enjoying escaping into a world far away and for whatever amount of time just enjoying being there in that moment.
As a child and young teen I used to obsess about all the negatives in my life. Weighting them as if those were my most important moments, those were the things I would be remembered for. But some sage advice from a man I may not always agree with but I love dearly got me to change what I gave prominence to. Bad things happen regardless of income, intelligence level, athletic ability, artistic merit or charm. You can harm no one and inconvenience no living thing(damn again with the gas is the world about to explode around me) and still run into hardships from time to time. Innocence does not inoculate you from life's trials it just says that you do not deserve such a harsh taskmaster.
Its kind of one of the reasons why I like Harry Potter the story so much. From the beginning he had done nothing a newborn babe, just enjoying what it means to be alive:air, food, the touch of those who love you. Yes he had the potential for great things but we all do, that's why its called POTENTIAL. We might be great, we might be average, we might be boring the only definite is that we will be. That in 7 years(in terms of the story) harry has gone from a shy, unsure, shadow just happy to not be noticed to a young man with the weight of the world on his should who still refuses to break is a great tale.
GRR I hate people who know they are speeding, see you crossing the street, know they could let up on the gas but instead mash on the horn. Its pretty simple hit me with my 260 plus frame and you ain driving far I will jump so I roll over you hood smash your windshield and then you can explain why you have a HUMAN BEING sized hole in the glass. And nah it didn't end well for the little old lady either.
Back to the story so Harry has grown to have great friends(a love that they ignored in the last movie), power, compassion and a small bit of respect for the task at hand. I see the theater but I know I'm earlier so I'm stopping for refreshment first. If this works, I hope such heavy stories like this in the future, if the character already has a big following trust in them to make the movie a success.
Look at Star Wars and Star Trek the first a movie that none that had a chance the second a TV series that aired for what two and a half years MAYBE 3 tops think of the dough those franchises have raked in from 1980 on. How about the Rocky Horror Picture Show, cult classics are just that. Okay about to go buy my ticket so bedding this one

Doh!
I'm getting extra cardio today I got so wrapped up in thumbing in my trailers blog for "Skyline" that I forgot to stop by the bank. Oh well spin around head back then walk on home.
I was making time too I was about to hit the home stretch when *face palm* bank clicked in my mind. Ah well a few more people live for a few more seconds on black ops whoop dee. The fact that I've made this hike and I ain winded yet is making me jump for joy. I haven't been hitting my resistance bands as religiously as usual so I'm not burning calories like I want. So to be able to jump down, turn around and spin it back is damn good in my eyes.
I ain running but walking it out has its benefits the change in terrain in the natural world is unmatched so the benefits my body is reaping from this mental slip is like whoa. And its not a bad thing that the rain is gone either I'd be sick as a dog tomorrow if it was raining(whoops misstep mayne I love these unsprainable ankles) well almost at the bank so tata and back to the trailers blog

a nice 40 minute stroll
I'll change the name later on after I see how long this walk takes me. I was gonna go watch RED, but its too far away for me to walk to which is cool. So I'm going to go see Megamind starring the voices of Will Ferrel and Brad Pitt. I started walking at 8:27 for a 9:25 movie. No I don't live 20 plus minutes away by car but why drag my feet(expletive almost slipped out. See how bad an influence multiply is on me) I get this walk in, get some nice cardio(no music this time as I of course am typing up this blog) I need the cardio because I haven't be working out like I was before so every little bit helps.
Now being that I never completed out the other Megamind blog they may post out of order. Which is cool I'll fix the dates and everything later. Can I tell you my fingers are cold as hell. I think I'm making decent time and distance(damn almost banged my balls on the cable stump in this persons yard. You know that little weird 2 1/2 foot rectangular thingy)welp somebody is getting a blue light special(pulled over by a cop) both folks appear to be in the car so it may just be a driving award.
If your driving by and see a bouncing timbo hoody that's me (*wave* but why are you reading this while driving, hell why are you in my head get out) I spoke on twitter about whippin the Chevy traverse around it was nice. SiriusXM stay makin me feel brilliant for taking that chance content, variety and easy to use.
Its 8:42 and I'm at the hill 15 minutes not bad, means I'll have plenty of time to find a seat and get refreshments(because I doubt it will take 30 to check the bank and cross the street, I say another 20 minutes tops til the theater door is in sight). Hell I should have taken this half a third of a hike to see RED when it came out but hey now I know (and knowing is half the battle GI Joe, if that's copyrighted my bad). I'm gonna spend december with my wife I hope we get to do the movies a few times. Gotta go rescue my leather coat too, one hill down and already most of the way up the other and its only 8:48 damn I'm good.
I think I need to hit the dentist too when I hit the "A" two of my back teeth are barkin at me. Its becoming slightly annoying that cherry coke felt like it tried to kill me last night, man was that painful. But I deserved it drinkin too many acidic drinks and not brushing right afterwards. I'm human and a big kid at heart so sometimes sweets and fizzy drinks call my name.
Ok this dude is being a douche, get ya money ya card and get ta steppin its an ATM not your financial adviser. Make it quick and let's roll. 8:58 balance is checked more than enough to take in this movie solo, and what is this I see but the theater door, what I say I got this right, damn right.
Ticket purchased, hot dog, and blue and red(*cough* green, red was drippy grrr) by my side, sitting here watching the previews. Little bright though somebody lost something so they got the lights on (aaaaaargh bright light, bright light). Theater dude is quizzing me like I don't know what I'm here for "pimpin I got this" I may have wanted to watch RED but megamind is a decent second option. I'll do the review later, possibly on my phone walking back but probably on the pc when I hit the crib.
Tron:legacy trailer was tiiiiight, I'll rate the movie for you its rated AWESOME. (Okay big goofy kid at heart). Its almost magic time so I'll be putting this bad boy to bed and sitting back to enjoy the movie. I see everybody is on the tron legacy coat tails coke had a nice tron based commercial. Aiight bed time for this one see ya on the other side
