My new laptop

Today was the day: I had saved up my money, decided what I wanted, and had weighed the pro's and cons of each of my potential new "toys."  Obviously due to years of distinguished service I was strongly rooting for the Sony Vaio, I mean while my first desktop was an HP(that did it's best but as the saying goes you get what you pay for) it was a budget PC and didn't last long. Due as much to it needing constant upgrades as to one fateful Christmas holiday somebody breaking in to our apartment and stealing it and the Christmas presents. It was one of those walk in the door and instantly be struck dumb moments, nothing makes sense, it couldn't happen to you and yet it did. Unfortunately for the exact same features the Vaio cost 400 bucks more, which yes I'm a Sony fan, and yes I don't mind paying for what I want, I just don't want to get raked over the coals due to brand preference.

More clouds, more rain really. "You Suck"

Yeah this one is just a little something to clear my head as I look out at the skies emptying its bladder on us again. Taking a quick look at the paper it seems that some of folks have had to clear out of some spots in the midsouth.

As I've mentioned(but forgot to photograph) the "Muddy Mississippi" has been rather high since the storm that tore through and wiped out the power. Especially since said storm continued to bring more rain with it(Hell I think I'll blog last Sundays photos, especially of the cars and driveway) and while there were complaints previously of droughts and water shortages I don't think we needed it all back in like a month.

The areas around me are okay, but as future pictures will show anyday you can walk out to see a lake on the front lawn. And there really is only one face you can make when looking at Lake "But that's my Car" a cheerful smirk. Cause you ain going nowhere til that water recedes. As a matter of fact let me do that blog now, so stay tuned.

My plans for the day

It's Sunday(I have the date tucked away up top so I'm not gonna post the date in blog) I was planning to watch football, do the Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows blog, and play black ops but it seems we have the night game so I guess I'll play black ops and do the potter blog first. No biggie at least I know I will be able to watch the game since it's sunday night football and as it's for the division lead it's a pleasant surprise from where I expected us to be.

Not to poach from the potter review but I liked the movie, I appreciate that they are FINALLY giving the story the time it needs to properly develop. A lot of the previous LONGER Potter books kind of got truncated in hopes of fitting the "directors vision" and supposedly fitting in to the audiences attention span. People have watched long movies before, if they like the subject matter and how you treated it they will sit their butts down and watch the movie. Hollywood needs to remember this, we watch long presentations all the time, the important thing is to keep up entertained. That's Hollywood's sole job and many times a job it is clearly deficient at.

Anyway off to play black ops, I got myself in a bit of trouble last night because I went a little crazy with the cross bow, okay a lot crazy I think I had like 15 or 20 sticky's last night, I had one sequence where I killed almost the entire team with bolts. Needless to say sometimes you have to be aware of your surroundings and if you see the guy next to you die, MIGHT wanna turn you head and see if somebody is about to rape you from the back.  I thought it was funny so I uploaded the sequence.

Now it was a COINCIDENCE that the last two shots were but shots, no offense but if I'm firing a crossbow bolt the main thing I want to connect with is somewhere it will stick. So anywhere along your back is fair game, my brothers have been joking that my last 10 game heat map has a lot of crotch shots in it, hey I stay crouched down and sometimes people fun into leaden death. Crossbow bolts usually catch your leg though as I fire them. Now if I EVER decide to break out my sniper rifle my head shots will go up It's just hard to catch a head shot with an automatic rifle sometimes small target lots of kick. Even when your ADS(Aiming down the site) bullets can go astray.

Long night mildly early morning

As those who have been reading know I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last night. I caught the 10 pm show(wasn't crowded but then I wasn't at the busier theater), I had a good time, came home and started fragerging people. It was a fun night of (ball shots as my brother would say hey I walk crouched, so if it lights ya waist up dead is dead) bullets and crossbow shots into my enemies(I usually get the crossbow bolt in ya leg. I love seeing the person hobble away before they explode) a few folks froze the game or just kicked us all out but it was still a fun overall night.

As always you win some ya lose some but overall you have a good time (granted going 12-1 and 15-2 ANYBODY would be having a good time). I was in the zone for a few matches just lights out if I saw you it was just a bloody stain. Got a bunch of medals, completed a few challenges, edited my player card. It was lots of fun.

Today for now I am doing a card upgrade(yep just like yesterday hopefully without the "droid madness" issues. Meh more droid madness sokay at least I can explain what went wrong) it has gone pretty straight forward so I'll be calling the bossman soon. About to write out my receipt and collect, I love it when a plan comes together.

As for the rest of my afternoon hit the bank, probably hit best buy and get a new controller, I think mine has been beaten up so maybe that's my issue, so let's see if a new game, I mean controller can fix that(remember when controllers used to be like 10-20 bucks what happened to those days) we shall see.

Anyway bedding this one so that I can move on to other thought processes

On may way back to the house

I coulda stayed and shot somebody this was go Team Wire day. No software issues, just move the system and plug in some power packs. Oh well it happens that way sometimes.


I may check out some movies tonight so I don't overload on Call of duty. I should probably go back and edit that blog and link to the game on a few sites. We shall see, not really sure just depends on how my night goes, we should hit the hose around 8 o'clock so the night should still be wide open. I know I could have tweeted more since I was just sitting there but, I was trying to not be a total leech today. All I did was carry a few ladders past that services weren't needed.


I guess I could have photographed where we were but wasn't really feeling it, its just a rainy night in South West Tennessee nothing to really see here. Next week is mew phone week, which also means next week is transfer all my data to a new phone week too YaaaaY me. Hopefully I find a puter I can back up my phone on then transfer all my data over.



That would make my life 10 times easier. Probably getting the new curve I may check online and see, but me and touch screens don't really get along too often. Aiight putting this ramble to bed for now just something to keep me up during the car ride.

It was a work day deferred but a work day nonetheless

Its like 2 in the afternoon and we on the highway back out to somerville. Honestly I don't know why I'm riding 3rd seat again. If you got K & J the wire team, wire team extraordinare(when they aiin on the Bull) what you need a tech for? Hey we out the house though


We're now at the site and honestly not much for me to do here so back to the blog. I won't lie I'm boooored again I can carry things from the front to the back but honestly this was a wire team job, but maybe the next site. Just the way it works sometimes, while I'm not a big college football fan I am a football fan so I am watching.


Auburn vs. Georgia lots of yellow hankies on the ground and Georgia has taken advantage of every miss step by Auburn, they showed a graphic about auburn coming back from large deficits so let's see if they calm down.


Penn state vs. Ohio state first TD's in Columbus is Joe Pa's history at Penn state wow, hey like I said the other day "all good things must come to an end". So Joe Pa CAN score in Ohio.


Wire team is almost done moving this system across the store so we're about to be on to the next site, maybe I'll be busy, maybe I won't I never know but I let's go on and get there

It's saturday afternoon

I hope to hit a movie or two today. Previous blogs should say which, not sure whether or not I need a vehicle to get to them(there is a theater within walking distance and I may get my trudge on would be some good cardio burn away some of these calories I've been racking up). Some may be surprised that for once this isn't a mobblog thats because I'm sitting at my desktop right now, now yes there was a chance for me to get an El Cheapo Laptop so that I could do the laptop dance and be more productive but er ummm NOOOOO, I've done the budget laptop thing and I am more of a power user. I stay on my laptop all day damn near every day. Hell my desktop used to feel lonely I was on the laptop so much, so to make the mistake of buying something cheap and not powerful enough to handle my average usage requirements is a waste of money. Again this desktop is 5 years old, SLIGHTLY showing it's age but I tend to be running with the gazelles not the sloths on it despite my complaints.

What can I say SONY makes good products. I'm just pissed that my next desktop can't be a VAIO 5-6 years and still running strong, hell if I want I can just spend a few hundred bucks and plop some new pieces in this bad boy and probably eek another 2-3 years out of it(thing is there are a lot of DECENT desktops for about that couple of hundred, now if I get another Media/gaming desktop like this one yeah that costs more. And that would be a major purchase so that would be a see what we are trying to do thing and go from there).

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, enjoying family and friends at some point in time I need to yak butter my head it's start to get really long up there. By Yak butter(this is my mature acting blog so I won't call it what I usually call it) I mean magic shave. I'm in a lazy mood right now so I promise at some point in the future to come back and add in all the links, possibly some pictures. But again hey I've been spitting out content on a regular so I figured why not just come by spit out a quickie while I have nothing to blog about pertinent in my mind keep space clear and have a ball.

Oh and thanks to Dennis @Thinkhero(what I say about linkage? LATER) and who ever runs the @geektyrant twitter persona for getting back to me on RED times are tight and even saving the gas money by walkin if RED was gonna suck I'd be pissed. Not the Fantastisucked pissed but pissed none the less.

It's sunday

Normally I'd be jacked because it's sunday in October which means it's football season(American Football for my European and asian visitors, what I check my stats now I told yall I would be more attentive) so my favorite team The Philadelphia Eagles NORMALLY would be my main focus buuut it's their bye week. For those not familiar with AF the bye week is a week where a few teams aren't on the schedule every team gets a least one bye week during the season USUALLY no more then like 4 teams are off at any one time. the byes usually run from weeks 3-9. Now every sport hear in america has a bye week or a "break" basically all that means is that there is basically a rest longer then the normal span between games. In basketball you could have 3 or 4 games in one week or you could have a span of like 2 games over a week. Baseball is the same way, so is hockey. But football is 1 game per week for like 17 weeks then whoever makes it to the playoffs. Also unique to football is that their pro/allstar game is AFTER the season not, well not as after as it used to be before it was after the Superbowl but not its the week before.

Anyway again before I run all the way down this is my teams bye week so while I do like football this should be a productive sunday for me, now watch not a DAMN SOUL call for nothing today. I swear the last 3 weeks while my team was playing all hell was breaking loose, people were having issues, it was an emergency "PLEASE PLEASE MR. SURVEILLANCE GUY YOU MUST HELP US!!!" all while my team was playing some good football(granted LAST week I should have left how you give up 27 straight points in !!!4 minutes!!! *breathe breathe* anyway that was last week, we were 2 men down so the bye week will allow them to heal, yes it took everything I had not to do the whole Robot bit from lost in space


It's because well I'm mad we lost but our starting QB was down and our No. 1 receiver was down so hey we weren't at full strength and a little inexperience showed. It happens next week is another week (granted the colts are coming to town so that ain good so we better be at full speed) plus the other team had a wide receiver play the game of his life. Again things happen it's a 16 game season and we are above .500 so I'm happy about that plus I could be a dallas cowboys fan 1-4 talk about lame, though I will give them props for beating the texans they are a much improved team this year. Aiight I might blog more later I guess I can get a heads up on my wife's fantasy players for her real quick

It's saturday aaaaaand I got a thing

It's another weekend, I think my dawg has something poppin but first things first gotta get the work out of the way. But as I see that the mobblogging is awesome sauce I can add more randomosity (little red squiggles I den told you if I WANT TO INVENT A WORD DANG NABBIT I WILL INVENT A WORD, wait you don't have NABBIT in your dictionary some of you net folks suck nabbit is like Looney Tunes old). *screeching tires* You rotten so and so's have wabbit in the "~~~~~" dictionary but you don't have Nabbit what kind of mickey mouse operation are you running? You know what all you Elmer Fudd fans can eat me, the Fudd was only cool cause Bugs made him cool.

(we will not get into a looney tunes argument, we will not get into a looney tunes argument) And the fact that you didn't have "looney" in there makes yall suspect, I'm just saying how you gonna have "wabbit" which is Sooo a WB term and not have the correct spelling of "Looney" you guy suck.

Okay back to my saturday of work and toil and hopefully fun later, hmm I wonder what came out in the movies today. I swear when we have these extra long days I am sooo lost, oh well I hope everybody has a safe and happy weekend. I'll pop in later with more random occurrences hmm I wonder whats happening on twitter by the way follow at your own risk, I speak when spoken to, randomly answer insanely, and I may tweet about anything and thats when I don't have a lot of time, let me be riding in the passenger seat. I think I'm a good 100 tweets from 20k(I don't believe it has taken me over 2 years to make 20,000 tweets. You would think with as long as my AVERAGE blog is I would have made that in a day or two) this will me my attempt to commemorate that awesome achievement. Cauuuse I'm gonna miss it when I actually do it, I have missed everyone since 1,000. I probably also need to set up a whitepaper account one of these days but meh it can wait. Dang it this was supposed to be a short blog oh well it's me when do I ever do anything short.
