The young archer walks up pulls her fur scarf away from her face and says "I just missed your heart" pulls out a gun and shoots the buck in the head. After shooting the buck and killing it she pulls out her knife and starts field dressing it. Cutting out the intestines, heart, while she is cutting a voice comes over her back "You are already dead". The young girl seems angry they begin to fight, tussle, and wrestle while the young girl appears to at least give up a foot and 60 pounds to the taller bearded man she seems to be holding her own. Near the end of the fight she is on the mans back with him in rear naked choke, she seems to hesistate. The man throws her off and says "you hesitated, for that you can drag the deer back alone".
The young girl is seen trudging along with the large buck in a make shift sled, she gets home appears to have cut more off the dear and walks in to a wooden house. The man starts speaking to her first in english, then german, then french, and then in spanish. Where she asks perfectly "Father did you really expect me to snap your neck" in an exasperated tone.
Hanna
Hanna and her father sit have dinner and begin discussing the dear she killed. It seems when breaking it down it seemed the deer was 200 pounds, her father is impressed, admires her strength, and reads her a story. The next day she has target practice shooting the tips of hanging deer antlers, during dinner hanna tells her father "I am ready", he pauses as if he didn't hear her and she says it again. The next day as Hanna plays with young huskies her father is seen truding with a shovel like he is looking for some snow locked treasure. He digs until he his some buried stash. When he gets home he shows it to Hanna and says "there is no rush, but once you flip that switch there is no going back". Hanna stares wide eyed at it for a moment but does not flip the switch, a few more days appear to go by as she spends time with her father. One day he asks her to go hunting with him and she declines, while staring at the box she flips the switch. And our adventure begins, some government employee gets a hall way update about a beacon for an Eric one of her former assets coming online. She seems unimpressed but acknowledges the asset and her association to him, the woman is a red head no nonsense, seemingly cool and in control yet the emergence of Eric seems to annoy her.
I like this movie, when I saw the trailer on the site I thought she looked like a young female Jason Bourne and Hanna did not disappoint. She is lethal with her hands and small weapons, while she seems out of place with normal teenagers (an unfortunate moment when a teen boy goes to kiss her and she has him in a rear choke about to snap his neck) her adaptability, stealth and precision is without question. Hanna is the story of a young girl tracking down the woman who killed her mother. The trail will lead her into her past, and leave her with many questions and few answers. Me and Ero loved the scene in the vault where she basically takes out 6 well trained agents and shoots out all the cameras. See scared little girl if you want to Johanna is a viper poised to strike. When she meets up with the small english bohemian family you kind of see her pine for the life she missed and the awkwardness of her human interaction when she drops off a skinned rabbit as thanks for the family allowing her to travel with them.
Now there is a tight tennis short moment(male), and a mild teen experimentation moment when Hanna and Sophie kiss. Lots of intrigue, lots of espionage, a few explosions, gun fights, close quarters combat, knives, bows, improv weapons. The young girl who plays Hanna (Saoirse Ronan ) may be the next mila jovovich or jessica biel, because if Hanna is any indication she definitely has some action chop.

I know this blog is late, between the power outage after the storm and everything else I was just mentally drained I had blogged a little on my phones but ever since we got power back(and then found out we didn't have internet) it was just too much back to back. So my keyboard and keypad were silent. I'm back I have a lot of things to blog about and need to force myself to do it. I hope you took the chance to go see Hanna it was a great movie.
